Minor update. Now that the baby wren has gone I took the basket down to see the house its parents built. It was full of insect shells. And the doves decide to nest in a second fan, leaving us with just one.

Third year doves have nested in our fan. I help them out by turning the power off and jamming it so it doesn’t spin in the wind. The wren that previously nested in a bike helmet is now nesting in the hanging basket. It keeps them safe from all the thunderstorms we have lately.
