Unimpressed with flying in the USA. Not only does @AmericanAir charge you for the privilege of picking your seat when you check in, they also encourage you to pay close over $30USD to board earlier. No exceptions for charity workers with $$$ of photo gear for their jobs... :(

@AmericanAir Yes. I can pay extra for the privilege that on every other airline is no charge. With the amount of flying I do I can't afford to pay $60+ per flight for the "privilege" of choosing my seat when I check in or boarding at a time so that I can get my gear in the cabin.
