Why tf hasn't anyone solved on-chain poker? Why Poker? — Immediate audience of crypto x poker with a sizeable ticket size as well; most whales have been poker players and most communities regularly host poker nights. — Speculation finds immediate PMF in crypto; GTM shouldn’t be an issue. — Seamless collection and distribution of payments via smart contract pools — On-chain randomness supported by many chains now (the logic can be entirely off-chain as well) — Mobile-first would be killer; with Google sign-in flow and seamless ramps integrated — Livestream and tip popular players via $POKER memecoin (or SOL/USDC) Build a poker platform in-house or simply acquire a web2 poker app with good UX, which are struggling to monetize and convert them. @alinush Right. The silent setup lets parties contribute to the setup phase without knowing who the other parties are, but an upper bound on the network size. This allows the setup to also be incremental, but it does incur linear computation and communication per party (quadratic total).

@sinharo Yes, I am still to look at this; I suppose they have a less interactive universe key generation? i.e., no UGen_on as in the MTS paper?

@alinush Nice post! A recent construction (eprint.iacr.org/2023/567.pdf) avoids a traditional DKG while still giving the multiverse feature.

Furthermore, if the signatures are *unique*, they yield publicly-verifiable randomness (e.g., see aptoslabs.medium.com/roll-with-move…) If they avoid a DKG, or minimize its complexity, even better! Will follow up with more thoughts! 📡
