@DaveWeLike @MikeKuczborski @kodi_why @jonspencer33 @LiebermanAustin It’s not a “moat” though. They don’t distribute TVs better than others or have an OS advantage on any of the big companies (google, amazon, etc.). No dig on Roku, but they are in similar moat position as trade desk (mid/independent alternative)

There’s a huge difference between $ROKU and $TTD with regard to most. Consumers hold TVs for 7+ years. A corporate entity can change their ad platform in a matter of months. It’s a huge difference. I’d add that Roku still sells dongles because loyal customers plug them into higher end TVs to essentially convert them to a Roku TV or access the Roku OS.

@jbulltard1 @Crussian17 It’s true. I’ve never seen a stock as relentlessly pummeled. No one willing to hold it right now.

@Mitch_Tischler @grok analyze the video and make a determination on whether the ground causes the ball to come out or the defender

@SalSports Also, does surviving the ground mean a defender ripping the ball out while you are on the ground, too? If so, how long does the receiver need to survive that?

A player going to the ground to catch a pass must maintain control during and after contact with the ground. That’s the rule. Apply accordingly.

@DougKyed He survived the ground and then had it stripped. Absent a defender, he would have maintained control. So no

I understand why Bills fans don't want to understand why it's not a catch. They're emotional and invested. It's natural. They're quite literally coping. I genuinely don't understand how anyone who is not a Bills fan does not understand that Cooks didn't survive the ground. It does not matter that for a fraction of a second his knee is down, and he was touched. That's not the rule. The moment he hit the ground, he lost control, and the ball wound up in McMillian's arms.

@BigIdeasCapital Hard to see a buyout-specific reason that totally explains the price action on the four stocks at the end of the day.

@B__Digs Either way, you’ll face some personal tax on the sale. Why only show the effect of that in one of the cases?

@B__Digs Right. But in the other case, don’t you also face capital gains tax on a personal level for the cash portion of sale?

@garyHeff Didn’t Gunnar already say (at a conference) that there had been some interest in the 20% stake? He didn’t mention who, though. This was prior to the PSKY potential bid.

Context: if $WBD is separating to sell the WB S&S business to big tech then they'll know if there's actually any big tech interest by 1) attempting to sell 20% stake and 2) having Ellison's full-company $PSKY bid create deal heat

If you're $WBD 's Zaslav you should have a good read on whether or not to accept the $PSKY bid (assuming it comes in): They're out shopping the 20% WB S&S stake. Either big tech bites for a piece or they don't If no takers or lowball for the stake, you're left with $PSKY
Gary@garyHeff

@accrued_int @Seth70251623591 @LivyResearch You could be right. But, also, if he thought the company he was about to run might get bought out and wanted to take advantage of that, he might also set this up. I find it harder to believe that he is day trading this pop and that he believes $19 is best he’ll ever get. Maybe?

@Seth70251623591 @LivyResearch CFOs who believe their shares are deeply undervalued don't setup 10b5-1s 🤣. I've done multi-billion dollar m&a transactions. The CFO has seen all the pitch decks for what his $WBD stock could be worth in a sale. All that matters is the Ellisons $PSKY.

Key watch items in my coverage today:🧵 Jack Ma is reportedly back to lead $BABA 's AI transformation and push into instant commerce; his return could be catalytic for the stock's recovery, as it's symbolic of Beijing's loosening regulatory grip and boosts investor confidence

@futviewer45 @TeaBagCapital Further than I thought initially, as they had been in the process of divesting those assets for months. But, per the release, it won’t be until sometime after the closing of the sycamore buyout. So a year or more, probably? And Sycamore gets the first 3.7B on the sale…
