@MTrucksa @gotrice2024 Of course I dont get your point, that's why I've asked multiple times what it is!! Chipotle ran a promotion to get more customers, customers showed up, you called that scamming. How could the customers use the promotion without showing up??

Chipotle announced they were having a buy one get one free deal between 3p-4p for a day. People started lining p around 2:00 to participate in the promotion. At about 2:40pm the manager at the Bronx chipotle shut down the store and did not open again until 4p. The manager then told the people who have been waiting in line for 2 hours that the promotion was over and they were not doing the buy one get one deal. What’s messed up is they knew they weren’t going to participate yet they did not tell anyone nor did they have a sign saying they weren’t doing it either. Since the kids have been waiting there patiently, shouldn’t they honor it anyways?

Red Lobster had the same issue. they lost a ton of $$ when they did the "all you can eat shrimp" deal. So many people came in and they suffered, i cant remember if it was bankruptcy or a huge financial loss. Same with people coming in and spending 5 hours at the "all you can eat" buffet. People ruin businesses. Im on the side of the business.

Hmmm possibly this context - if a store says they will sell a meal deal between 3 and 4:00.. they figure, that will be maybe 10 customers. but if you get a long line of 200 people , if they honor that meal deal, then they are gonna get 200 people getting free food. Because the owner surveyed this, the line of people was in a way scamming/taking advantage of the store. They were not honoring it as it was meant to be.

@YardsPerGretch Pete Rose swings at that pitch and likely fouls it off. Why? Because he would have known to not allow the ump to decide his fate on a close pitch. That’s the difference. It was a fantastic slider, which he had not been getting over up until then.

Not to be dramatic but the whole sport of baseball hinges on finding pitches you can actually hit. It’s an incredible take because a pitch down and moving down is fundamentally harder to hit well. It’s not “you gotta protect,” ump’s gotta get it right when it’s that far down.

Ken Rosenthal's job is so pointless and I'm tired of pretending it's not. Like yeah wow thank God you asked Logan Webb if he was excited to pitch and if he's happy to be on the team, don't know what I would have done without that
