@istvan_csanady @emm0sh wow, hi! thank you for building such an intuitive CAD tool. Shapr3D makes the learning curve feel much less scary
English

my professor saw it and said he could model it in 5 minutes. I spent HOURS making the CAD model with ai, burned a criminal amount of Genspark tokens, and still had to fix things by hand in Shapr3D. anyway, it’s finally ready for 3D printing. (Made render in 2minutes but it’s not the final product anyway)

@SpikeRiser @Vinnyyetc Could you give an advice? I’m not sure what made me do it so long, do you make your prompt extra specific with details?
English

@justabdulraouf I guess it depends on who you show it to. Some people don’t understand what “work in progress” means and judge it like it’s final.
English

@mattdykema You can’t know if a new product will succeed in the market until you’ve already spent the time and money to make it.

it is just ridiculously fun to draw things with

Teddy@WarnerTeddy
i couldn't decide on art to hang on my apartment walls so i built a drawing machine to decide for me

@sonichNik @genspark_ai I started to think for a second why do I have a huge toilet paper on my timeline
English

test print is done and works exactly as programmed with @genspark_ai Super Agent and forgecad.io
now I’ll tweak one small detail for sturdiness, improve the aesthetics, and show you the final result in a few days

spent the last couple hours vibe coding 3D-printable parts for a lantern. will let you know if it turns out nice. first time vibe coding models, so I’m very excited

@HyperLogistix @earthtojake I’ve seen it, but haven’t tried it yet. Have you?

@reticente07 my uni is mostly concept-oriented, so I realized late how important proper CAD skills are. working with a big design studio made the gap obvious. now I need to pick one tool and practice. any advice for a CAD newbie?
English

@sonichNik are there any specific issues that make it difficult to learn CAD according to you? Is it lack of resources?
almost any CAD software you pick (Solidworks/Fusion/Onshape/CATIA/Shapr3D) has tons of tutorials/docs to help you go from basic to intermediate level. and even pro.
