I am just broken up over this poor young man losing his life! As a mom of a Black son with #autism I have ALWAYS worried about this. When RJ was 15 he had a scary emotional meltdown in public —Someone wanted to call the police and if that happened the chances of him ending up like Ryan were extremely high. Fortunately, that night we were able to calm him down and get him in the car to get him safely home. We must figure this out. If police are not able to de-escalate in these domestic situations then we need mental health professionals to come on these calls!!!
