@CityOfDallas Protect your people! This should not be happening in modern day society. If you don’t address the gaps it’s going to get worse which means more violence. Do what needs to be done and hire more police officers and pay them what they deserve so people see less videos like this one. Great work Damian @dallas_hero_! Thanks for sharing KLDs story with the hopes of saving others. 💪❤️🍀👊🇺🇸🚨🚔👮🏻👮♀️👮🏿♂️🚓

While visiting @CityofDallas, Kristin Dailey was hoping to enjoy a peaceful morning jog.
Instead, she was viciously assaulted on a @DARTDallas platform by a homeless man.
How can Dallas expect to attract tourists when this is how they're welcomed?

CHRONIC INCOMPETENCE: On April 18th, 2025, Kristin Daliey, a tourist from Chicago, was violently attacked by a homeless man, Kevin DeWayne Simmons, on a DART platform at Pacific & Akard in Downtown Dallas.
Simmons plead guilty to a Class A misdemeanor—how was this not a felony?—and was sentenced to 1 year of treatment and 2 years of probation.
But because of a “clerical error,” the treatment was not written on his sentence and Simmons was released onto the streets on Thursday of this week.
After catching the mistake, @DallasPD and the Sheriff’s department tracked him down and re-arrested him. He is now incarcerated at the treatment facility.
GOOD NEWS: A violent bum is being justly punished for his crime.
BAD NEWS: The criminal justice system in Dallas County could screw up a free lunch.

To every leader responsible for protecting U.S. citizens — federal, state, and local:
My wife and I — parents of four — took a simple couples getaway to Dallas. It should have been safe.
Instead, my wife — a mother, a daughter, and an elite athlete — was viciously attacked by a homeless man, sucker-punched from behind in broad daylight while out on a morning run. She was left bleeding, concussed, traumatized.
And the system’s response?
“It could have been worse.”
That is unacceptable.
It is shameful that we live in a country where a violent, random attack on an innocent woman is brushed aside because “it could have been worse.”
The worst case scenario — the death of a wife and mother — was avoided by pure luck, not because of the protections you’re supposed to ensure.
We demand better.
Policies that prioritize criminals over victims are destroying public safety.
Leaders who underfund law enforcement and allow repeat violent offenders back into the streets are failing the very people they swore to protect.
Enough excuses.
Enough politics.
Enough putting agendas above lives.
Fix the laws.
Fund the police.
Protect the innocent.
Because there is no speech, no protest, no political objective more important than a mother coming home to her children.
You owe that to every citizen you represent. We demand that you act before another family isn’t as lucky as ours was.
Stay alert. Stay alive. And start leading.

@TheCrippler93 Thanks 🤡 If it was your loved one, what is your genius answer? Don’t tap in with a comment without explanation! Tell everyone how to fix stupid!?
English

@ssdailey77 Fund the police? I’m sure they have enough funding for their abuse of power. Sorry this happened, but, that isn’t the answer.
English

@nj1213141 @SShield66033827 NJ is a keyboard hero! You’re just as bad for your comment!
English

@ssdailey77 That is terrible... put his picture up so people know who to look out for an arrest him at the 1st opportunity
English

@ssdailey77 Everybody should already know that God isn't going to tell you to punch someone. That isn't God's M.O.

Folks are waking up! If this was someone you loved, how would you feel!? Almost lost my wife but also have some PTSD to help with over time! The coward can’t use God as an excuse or I would knock him out and use the same. You need to be held accountable for what you did and might have done to others and gotten away with it! Were you the one that assaulted the 27 year old Oklahoma girl three weeks prior Mr. Kevin DeWayne Simmons. Next fight, make it fair and hit me. I’ll even let you sucker punch me and run away! I promise I would catch you! 🤨 @K9Kitt @dallas_hero_ @KevinReeceWFAA @Dallas_DA @CityOfDallas @bostonpolice @ChicagoPolice3 @danawhite @joerogan @ILSecOfState @DanHynes @thecityofchicago

@therealrayra You are what seems to be a narcissistic guy! Good luck with yourself, pointed hero! 💪🍀🤭

pay attention, snide ass. I'm offering advice so other grrrls can avoid being punched or worse. Take heed, instead of mindless emotional offense.
I'm a large muscular former Marine Sergeant with a CCW and even I don't willingly get within arm's reach of free-range psychotic bums on the street.
Just a ltitle situational awareness and a sliver of caution go a long way towards shit like this NOT happening to a decent person.
The entire point is to preclude the confrontation in the first place.
Put whatever details you want into your strawwoman scenario, you're still on foot on a street with psychotics on it. Just what the fuck do you think is going to happen?
