@coach_dub_cwc @theinnovcoachir What would happen if he said anything other than that?
English

In what other contexts is this viewed as peak leadership?
In what other contexts does this question even get asked?

@StuartMcMillan1 @lahti_johan @jb_morin @KenClarkSpeed @ALTIS @AltiseDR So much of what looks different here is torso up - is that a function of the leg swing or vice versa? I assume it's an 'it's all connected' situation, but curious how you would interpret it. Thanks!
English

.@lahti_johan and @jb_morin getting some love from @KenClarkSpeed in his discussion of sprint biomechanics as they relate to sprinters and team sport athletes.

@JWLevitt @ForTheLRPod Send a DM? Or if there's a better contact just lmk.
Thanks!
English

@stephenhebs @ForTheLRPod Hey! This sounds cool! Definitely interested!
English

@JWLevitt Hi Jonathan! Long time listener of the @ForTheLRPod and particularly love your ability to challenge your guests.
I'm podcasting my performance coaching with BQ hopefuls - not a training pod, actual coaching. I'd love your feedback.
Open to a 15 min Zoom? Thanks!
English

@ChrisMcClung have some feedback i'd like to share re: episode #333 if you'd be open to it, but would prefer to DM. lmk if you're up for it.
English

@Cody_Dragon @Stay_Plugged_In I'd love to chat - I can share more of my experience. I'm in Greensboro, NC and working with coaches all over our state.
English

@Cody_Dragon @Stay_Plugged_In Hey Cody, great update.
I'm working fairly intimately with the types of coaches you're discussing - teacher-coaches new to esports with little in terms of game competency.
The game skill/competency piece is one issue, but maybe in the top 5, but rarely #1 for most coaches.
English

With my recent change in title/role I've been receiving a number of similar questions.
So let's address them head on...
We are in the midst of a fundamental evolution in our business positioning here at @Stay_Plugged_In
As the market leader in esports recruiting ($20M in scholarships facilitated) we are undoubtedly one of the more significant conduits for high school students and higher education.
And with this we recognize our unique ability to equip esports educators with best in class skills training resources and real industry/ future workforce educational opportunities.
Coaches/Teachers we have heard your struggles and will be addressing the following head on :
1. Skills training
- Bespoke training content and resources to help your players improve at the games they love.
2. Education/Workforce Opportunities
- Real world skills training for modern/in-demand job opportunities. Not just make believe moonshot jobs that exist only on PowerPoint slides.
Building out a learning content platform that can support tens of thousands of students (and many more) is a serious undertaking but thanks to the leadership of folks like @42ricksuarez24 and the rest of our team I know that we are the best company for the job.
As always, thank you to everyone who is on this journey of making esports EDU such a special place. I tip my hat to anyone working to make gaming a better place for young people.
If you or anyone thinks they are a good fit for this type of project please don't hesitate to reach out.
It takes a village.

@dkonopelko @evolve @paliiboy @clerkie You can turn off little red bubbles?!
How will I ever repay you for this?

@codyroyle That’s such an important skill and one I struggle with mightily.
I find that those 20-30 minute windows of time challenge me because it can sometimes take me that long to get into a groove - particularly with writing.
What have you tried to implement?
English

@stephenhebs Nice.
I’ve historically been quite segmented as I struggle to switch intentions and tasks. But now I have a toddler so I’m trying to teach myself how to unfocus and refocus in shorter bursts.
English

Habits I’ve been tinkering with this year:
☕️ No coffee until 90-120 mins after waking (h/t @hubermanlab)
👃🏽 Double-inhale breathing for quick stress relief
🏋🏽♀️ Increased to 4-5 lifts per week from 1-2
👨👩👦 Whole days blocked for ad-hoc family adventures
What about you?
