I want portable block devices. Can somebody give me a block device that is stored on S3? Like @tursodatabase but blocks, not a database. I want local read/writes and that synced back to S3. How hard can that be, c`mon.

I'm going to build a workflow engine. Step one... google "what is a workflow engine?"

I know "standards" and fun don't go together often, but we just had a fun @OCI_ORG weekly call with little to no agenda & catching up on a few things. No Zoom screenshot so you'll have to believe me about dogs (barking and on-screen), fancy cams, bird photos, and a treadmill desk

Shoutout to the brilliance of @stevvooe for designing a simple, secure, and now time tested protocol. Also to the hard work of all the maintainers who carried this through over the years, polishing this up for 1.0 was a huge team effort!

Nearly 7 years ago I started working at Docker and the new secure image distribution project was my first big project. Great to see that work finally become standardized! It’s amazing to see how widely used it still is today☺️

@derekmcgowan 😊Love the maintainers who took this from being an organically assembled protocol into a solid specification we can build on. There are lots of places to take distribution but getting this ground layer well defined will give us a place to build from. 🚀🚀🚀
