@francesca_kms @HaringeyCyclist Roads are for vehicles not bikes
English

Seeing so many kids cycling safely around the streets of #Haringey today shows it’s not their ability which stops them, it’s the safety of our streets!
Let’s make 2024 the year where kids and grownups can get from A-B safely.

@BigBadP @jonburkeUK Pretty sure there are strict regulations on knife sales actually...(18+, for example)
English

@jonburkeUK How many deaths are caused by stabbings each year in London? Can’t seem to spot you campaigning for the end of knives being sold in shops?
We know that even had this tragedy not happened you’d still want SUV’s banned. That’s what cyclists do.
English

@HealthyLadder Been cycling all over London for 10+ years and Wightman road feels like the most dangerous "residential" road that I can think of. Previously contacted the council to ask if they plan to change anything but it doesn't seem so...
English

@joe_haddy_jon @indyrikki @HealthyLadder It really isn't. Not unless you're an impatient, selfish individual of course.
English

@littlejohn50 @Naughtydrivers @chilternlaw2013 @UnitedCabbies How about every cab driver has to openly display how many points they have, and for what offences? (Think restaurant hygiene ratings).
English

@Naughtydrivers @chilternlaw2013 @UnitedCabbies Would u also like all highway Code offenses be applied to cyclist & b identifiable
English

A successful morning with exceptional hardship found for another very happy @UnitedCabbies member following a hearing at Bromley MC this morning. Now we have TfL to deal with.

English

@Naughtydrivers "All this bloody new regulation about 'hygiene' and so forth. Rubbish. Nothing like it was back in the old days. These disciplinary measures are just to squeeze more money from us"
English

@Naughtydrivers Would be interesting to see how many cab drivers would choose to use a surgeon who had multiple strikes from the general medical council...
English

@chrisbowes40 @Naughtydrivers That's like saying anyone who commutes via car (teachers, surgeons etc) should also lose their jobs if they get 12 points on their licence. Ludicrous.
English

@mossyweep @Jayne82526450 @Naughtydrivers Joggers also pose some danger (think about accidentally knocking over an elderly pedestrian). Horse riders even more so. Where do we draw the line?
English

@AndrewTimms12 @Naughtydrivers I don't doubt it! Guess I should've clarified danger in this context as being danger to others and not the individual 😉
English

@sthompingground @Naughtydrivers Seriously Simon. Have you tried a forward roll lately 😉 if you think that's easy (without knocking the TV over or frightening the dog) then try it. Try it now. Bet you struggle. You forgot the power of youth and having no fear 😎😄😉👍
English

@Jayne82526450 @Naughtydrivers BTW I'm defining danger as danger to others being important to limit. Think how you're free to give yourself food poisoning but we have strict measurements to make sure chef's don't give it to others.
English

@sthompingground @Naughtydrivers If cyclists had lessons and tests, not because cycling is intrinsically that difficult, it's because the consequences of doing those actions wrong are extremely dangerous (due to the idiocy of most cyclists not adhering to the Highway Code).
English

@Jayne82526450 @Naughtydrivers What do you mean by 'extremely' dangerous?
English

@AquaValve2013 @lazygitt @Naughtydrivers If that logic was even slightly correct then why would they suspend anyone from driving if they consistently rack up points for speeding...? Not everything is a conspiracy theory.
English

@lazygitt @Naughtydrivers They could have all cars in the country fitted with speed governors. But they would lose the speeding fine money and they care about that more than the safety of people
English

@Jayne82526450 @Naughtydrivers Therefore, even though pedestrians, cyclists etc all interact with the road system the need for them to be tested is non-existent as they more or less only pose a risk to themselves and not to others.
English

@sthompingground @Naughtydrivers Sarcasm is the norm with anyone who knows we are right!!
English

@Jayne82526450 @Naughtydrivers It's just a reaction to the limited word count of twitter, unfortunately.
