I know some of my followers won’t like this, but I actually think it’s good that Norm Finkelstein is pushing back slightly on the narrative that Israel is behind ALL the world’s crimes. Don’t get me wrong, Zionism is at the root of many evils in the world, and I think that CIA has outsourced much of its work to the Mossad since the late 1970s. ALL of the leading imperialists in the world today are ideologically Zionist & aligned with Israel, which is a fact that can’t be ignored. I do not believe that Israel has any “right to exist” and that the world would be better off without it existing. However, if Israel got nuked off the face of the earth tomorrow it would NOT solve all of the world’s problems or America’s. Dollar hegemony would persist & it would continue being used to debt trap & control much of the global population. The financiers & oligarchs who control America would lose their foothold in the Middle East, but they would go right along trapping your family in debt, and using your money on endless wars abroad. We have to overthrow the rule of finance capital, not just Israel. This is the hard truth. And the only way to achieve this is by joining the Communist Party to organize your workplaces and community.

Because nobody’s gonna use a nuke on a non-nuclear country unless they get to a point where the enemy has reached a “red line.” Israel’s is obviously pretty far out there because I can guarantee you that if those were American cities getting hit with strategic ballistic rockets the US would’ve already sent Iran a couple pieces of the inside of the sun. That’s our nature.

In the event of a strike on Iran, by either the US or Israel, its Nuclear allies would immediately destroy Israel in total. Why? Because at that moment, Israel goes from being a problem to an existential threat to Russia and China. Also, high ranking Chinese officials have already said so. Line 2 deterrent - Iran can produce a nuclear bomb in a few days to a week. Iran’s has the expertise, the equipment, the material, and secure enough facilities to build the bomb. They also have multiple delivery options that cannot be countered. Out of these deterrent, option 1 is the most strategic for Iran as it enables them to maintain strong public opinion in its favour. It would also explain why Iran has be extremely careful in its escalation response. Not appearing like the aggressor and by only taking self-defence-like retaliatory action, Iran is able to build and maintain a world wide moral advantage and coalition that is now turning the Europeans against the aggressors.

A grim descent - where the optics of power give way to scenes that speak less of strategy and more of disgrace.

This is nothing short of war propaganda. If you dig in to the report you will see that it’s actually a civilian recruitment programme to help with things like cooking, medical care and damaged homes. There is no evidence presented by HRW to suggest this campaign seeks to recruit combatants. The consistent role played by some Western Human rights organisations in providing moral pretexts for bombing countries in the global south doesn’t get nearly the amount of scrutiny it should.
