@Bomberbuzzer Blakiston held his own against Xerri. All he has to do is make it a contest, which he can with his athleticism.
English

@stretch185 The alternative is Blakiston….think he will towel whoever we put up
English

@Bomberbuzzer If you're going to dish Wright and May up to Gawn, you may as well just give Melbourne the 4 points now....
English

@stretch185 Reid is a key position and Ridley isn’t. So Blakiston goes back and wright goes into ruck. May was the second ruck late in game. So Parish and Caldwell also have no flexibility and under performed again

@ellymelly If we can afford billionaires, we can afford a few extra dollars to people willing to work a public holiday to keep society rolling!

Congratulations Labor government.
Penalty rates are now so high (Chalmers calls this 'fair') that most places close their doors - or the owners take the shift.
The lesson here is that if you push penalty rates too high - NO ONE gets them.
And even if the government tries to mandate businesses into keeping regular rosters - those businesses will collapse.
Socialists think you can FORCE economic outcomes with regulation.
Instead of realising the market REWARDS good economic practices.
Successful businesses pay more for labour. Businesses suffocating under the weight of government taxes and failed policy don't pay anything at all.

@JoRansing80929 @goodfoodgal We are free, we can send our kids to school without fearing they'll be shot dead in class....

Yes! Perfect tweet. As an American that spent a year there, I could not get over how over taxed, over regulated and obedient the population is. They are oblivious to their condition , quietly compliant. They think they are free! It's strange , very strange. Not a peep out of them during the strictest covid lockdowns in the world. As a Texan, it feels like an alternate universe. Cameras everywhere and nobody shoots them out.

@OneNationAus The only thing one nation will do is increase Ginas net wealth. You are not here to serve there Australian people, you are here to serve your Queen!

The shutdown of oil refineries can be traced back to the major parties’ reckless push towards Net Zero.
One Nation will bring energy costs down by backing mining, cutting red tape, and rebuilding Australian manufacturing.
It’s time to start making things here again.

@Matt_Camenzuli So just to clarify, you want adults to be paid junior wages? Why?
English

@Falcyrr @ausstockchick While the business makes exorbitant profits.... Spare me your bootlicking sycophantic rhetoric.
English

@ausstockchick Businesses will now raise their product prices to align with the shift. More money to come out of Australian pockets.

Everyone celebrating the 42% pay increase for 18-20 year olds obviously never grafted in a job as a young person.
Knowing the value of earning a small salary and working your way up in life.
It’s not about “slave labour”.
It’s about understanding the meaning of money.

@WinkFlyer @M_I_K_E_68 @luke_amott @Ausbobsmit Worshipping a paedophile is a strange life choice 🤔
But hey, this war has conveniently taken the attention away from the Epstein files hasn't it.....

@M_I_K_E_68 @luke_amott @Ausbobsmit When a liberal twit from any country criticizes my awesome President for shit they know zero about I’ll say what I want. Now, tend to your abject loneliness and cats.

@DonCaldwelll How can you play Perkins over Tsatas

@The_Red_Sash I know our players are young, but they're not that young....

@Mansell05 @CraiG_Mc I'm not sure how bringing back the past helps to move forward...
English

@CraiG_Mc Seen 4 prems with my team. Seen the best team ever. Seen the biggest comeback ever. Was at the game when James hugged the fan. My life is
Complete. This team is the worst I have seen and I’ll never seen another prem. Was good. Bring back Hird or we never move forward.

I know things for us fans are tough right now, me included, and many of you (after 20 plus years) won’t have the same thoughts as I do, but this is honestly how I feel:
The club needed to go into a rebuild. Soo I understand the 30+ list changes, bringing in new kids, reshaping the list, and giving them games so they can develop and grow together.
I also understand that when you actually look at the list profile, it tells a story. Nearly half the list has been at the club for 3 years or less, and that group has played on average only around 20 games at the club.
That’s barely a season of footy together — still learning the system, still building cohesion.
I also get that young teams, including 19 debutants in 26 games, take time to build chemistry and properly ingrain a system and have a lot of ups and downs. Plus when you factor in the injuries we had last year, that continuity and cohesion become even harder to build.
So I understand there is still a lot of work to do and growth to come with this playing list and that things won’t dramatically improve quickly and there will be inconsistencies/ups and downs. But hopefully once these kids get 40-50 games into them, things will improve and look better.
But bare in mind, that’s not excusing the coaches who also needs to develop and coach these kids the right way as-well…
With all that said, and as tough as it is right now, this just feels like the reality of a proper rebuild and what can it actually look like.
Which is something the club hasn’t fully committed to before. So here we are..

@ScottNorth64736 Isn't it funny how no matter who you are, no matter how much money you have, there are still things you simply cannot buy. You can't buy time. Nor can you buy genuine relationships. Billionaires are a drain on society. Life would be better for 95% of people if the rest realised.

@Kidcowboy2 They still need to buy the next lot, and lose $10000+ in cashflow. It’s still a hit.
