@MrVanCough @MillzBryan @BohuslavskaKate Many U.S. bases employ thousands of local nationals as: Civilian contractors, Maintenance staff and Administrative staff. In Germany, estimates suggest 30,000–40,000 local civilians are employed by U.S. military bases. Wages paid to these civilians circulate in the local economy.

@MillzBryan @BohuslavskaKate Wonder when the penny will drop with people in the USA that they contribute $1 billion to the NATO annual budget, but receive $20 to $40 billion per year in weapons sales to NATO allies. Not to mention free bases across Europe for power projection.

ZELENSKYY: I want American people to understand: we are your allies in Europe. World has no distance anymore — when drones already strike thousands of kilometers. One, two, three years — drones will strike ten, twenty thousand kilometers. With reactive engines, they will be very cheap. There will be swarms of these drones. You can’t defend that by yourself. The world has to help countries defend themselves and push the aggressor back. That’s why, i think, Americans need us, and we need the United States.

@SpencerFernando It's not about the MP it's about voters. I don't see a need to ban floor crossing but I do see the need to ban a party from aggressively approaching other MP's to convince them to cross over. Liberal MP's have been quite open about being in negotiations with MP's of all parties.

Were Canada to ban floor crossing, we would be suppressing the individual minds of those we elect, and further concentrating power in party leaders. As things stand now, floor crossing protects independence and keeps pressure on leaders to treat their colleagues well lest they watch those colleagues head elsewhere. Floor crossing – and the threat of it – protects us from a system where those we elect turn into mindless drones serving nothing more than the centralized will of ‘the leader.’ So, whether you agree with Gladu’s decision or not, it is essential to protect the right of MPs to cross the floor. The individual mind is the most precious resource we have.

@shipdit402 @RayDomano @gnue28 @404Happy @nut_meggy @MarilynGladuSL I don't think the real problem is the MP crossing the floor. I may be wrong but I believe this is the first time that any party, Governing or opposition have actively approached MP's from other parties to convince them to cross over. Liberal MP's have admitted they are in talks.

@RiskyOnWhiskey @saskridergal @Martyupnorth Lived in Alberta for 15 years, love the province, the people and the opportunities. I understand your frustration with lack of support Alberta receives from Canada, and the current lack of respect and hatred directed at you but I sure hope we find a way to convince Ab to stay.

I went to listen to her speak at the University of Calgary yesterday. It was a packed auditorium. She could only speak for 90 minutes because that's all the school would allow, but the crowd wanted more. She's an eye witness to one of the most important moments in Canadian history. The Freedom Convoy will be studied and talked about for generations, and she was right in the middle of it. I hate my government, but as I listened to her, I kept realizing I can't hate it enough. What they did to us. What they continue to do to us. There are evil men and women in Ottawa. Christ taught us to forgive, and Tamara exemplifies that. Me? If I had been subjected to the same treatment that she was, I'd be hunting down some humans for the rest of my life. God bless you Tamara.

@Reil76 @KathyHunt43 You must be one of a very few complaining. In reality people debated respectfully trying to understand Quebec's position. In the last few weeks before the votes thousands of Canadians went to Quebec waving flags and talked to them. Asked them to vote against separating.

The Alberta separatist movement isn’t some unstoppable wave, it’s a loud minority that can’t even hit its own targets. You needed around 350k signatures to show real momentum and you came up with 177k. That’s not a movement, that’s barely a warm up. And even if you somehow crossed that threshold, it doesn’t mean Alberta just walks out of Canada. That’s not how this works. You’re talking about years of legal battles, constitutional hurdles, negotiations with the federal government, Indigenous treaty obligations, economic fallout, currency issues, trade barriers, and massive uncertainty for businesses and workers. Not 90 days, regardless of what Keith says. There’s no clean break. No easy exit. No “just vote and we’re gone.” Meanwhile, the idea that Alberta would somehow be stronger alone ignores reality. The province benefits massively from being part of Canada through internal trade, transfer systems, shared infrastructure, and global credibility. Walking away doesn’t make those problems disappear, it multiplies them. So no, Alberta isn’t leaving Canada. Not now, not anytime soon. And a half completed petition isn’t proof of anything except how small the movement actually is. And to all Albertans that don’t want any part of this, the rest of Canada knows, and we don’t group you all in the same basket! We still love you.

@WesleyP79096 @GrahamG22047543 @Martyupnorth I'm honestly not aware of any racist groups in Canada or supporting the conservatives. I'm also not aware of the leader of the liberals denouncing any racist groups. PP has a Venezuelan wife and a gay father do you really believe he is a racist or homophobic? Sounds liberal.

@Cynthia95001250 @TalbotLionel2 Trump has never been convicted of sexual assault. Being mentioned in the Epstein files is not a crime. If there was solid evidence of Trump committing a crime it would have been leaked. There's plenty of immoral and criminal acts he's guilty of that you could have highlighted.

I wrote a piece yesterday (in French) addressing the reasons that motivated Carney to become Prime Minister of Canada. They were mostly personal (Brookfield). This was one of the comments I received: “I don’t care why, but just the fact that he stands up to Trump and that this orange madman is angry with Carney, I’m satisfied.” Unfortunately, this is how the majority of Canadians feel. If Trump was the evil person the media depicted him to be, how did he win a convincing majority even though 90% of media coverage on him was negative while 85% on Kamala was positive? Don’t give me the “Americans are stupid” bullshit. Libtards still haven’t figured this out, proof that TDS actually exists. People need to stop blaming Trump. The day Canadians realize Trump isn’t the villain he’s portrayed as will mark the beginning of the end for Carney and the Liberals. Canada’s emotional rage toward Trump and his allies isn’t good for the country, but it has benefited the Liberal Party. The Liberals knew they couldn’t campaign on a decade of failures, corruption, and economic decline. With the help of subsidized media, they focused instead on Trump and his team. The country is plunging into recession, but that doesn’t matter. Canadians would follow Carney off a cliff if they thought it would give Trump the finger. The Liberals have made hatred of Donald Trump their entire personality. Canadians are easily manipulated and haven’t yet woken up to reality. If they devoted even a fraction of their rage against Trump to demanding competence from their own government, this country would be in far better shape. I’m most concerned about the bill that future generations—my children and grandchildren—will have to pay for the legacy we boomers are leaving them.
