WordPress is moving at AI-speed right now. About a week after it was first discussed, the beta versions of WordPress 7.0 now have a "Connector" screen for OpenAI, Claude, and Gemini. Choose any service and it will install a plugin then ask for your AI key.

@vercel has the Edge Functions timeout been lowered to 1m from 5 minutes? All of a sudden, I'm getting numerous 60s timeouts.

@vercel @rauchg Submitted a report ticket ~8 hours ago and I was wondering if you all are getting reports of max execution being forced to 60 seconds. My app is basically un-usable because of this and would love to get it fixed.

I really love @Cloudflare and I’ve been fangirling it a lot, but I have to hand it to @vercel for their @aisdk. I’ve been fiddling with Cloudflare's AI Gateway for quite a while and it’s honestly been a pain to get working. Sadly, I’m switching over to the Vercel AI SDK + Gateway instead. It’s way more intuitive and I don’t have to figure out random weird settings or whether the snippet from the dashboard is right, the documentation is right, or if some other page in the same docs is right I’ve struggled a lot with getting BYOK to work with Cloudflare and the whole DX has been an absolute nightmare. Even though CF pushes the OpenAI SDK, it absolutely sucks with provider keys I’m really hoping Cloudflare’s AI Gateway improves and becomes an actual gateway that wraps incoming requests and makes it easier for end users to switch things around instead of fiddling with URLs and random configs. I genuinely want to use CF’s AI Gateway. It fits perfectly with what I’m building, but right now the friction and quirks just make it feel way harder than it should be
