🚀IMPORTANT🚀 The reality of quadcopter attacks in KPK is being deliberately clouded by a dangerous political narrative pushed by the PTI-led provincial government. While the TTP openly weaponises drone technology to slaughter civilians, the provincial leadership is actively sabotaging the national counterterrorism effort for political gain. It is a calculated deception to suggest that the Security Forces the very men pulling innocent children from the rubble of these strikes would target their own people. The facts tell a much more brutal story: every drop of blood spilled from the martyred girl in Aka Khel Bara to the three children murdered on a cricket ground in Bannu, is a direct result of TTP brutality. These terrorists release their own footage to boast of their reach, yet the PTI government chooses to ignore these confessions, instead using parliamentary meetings to insinuate state involvement. This isn't just a failure of governance; it is a betrayal of the citizens of KP, providing a force multiplier for the TTP’s psychological warfare by casting doubt on the defenders of the state. This crisis is compounded by a provincial administration that treats human lives as chips in a political game. As highlighted in the analysis "Counterterrorism Without Heavy Armour and Air Power is a Gamble," (Link is below) fighting a tech-savvy insurgency with outdated policing methods is a recipe for disaster. The PTI government has left the police force our first line of defence crippled by a massive deficit of 15,306 personnel, ensuring they remain understaffed and exposed. By refusing to prioritise Electronic Warfare technology, heavy armour and decisive Air Power, the provincial government has created a vacuum that the TTP are only too happy to fill. When an attack occurs, such as the strike on Malik Liaquat Ali Khan’s home in Spin Wam or the wounding of infants in Lakki Marwat, the provincial response is a deafening silence regarding the terrorists, followed by a pivot to blame the Security Forces. This tradition of deflection is a lethal gamble. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi must realise that counterterrorism cannot be a tool for political blackmail or a shield for insurgent interests. Without the will to equip the police and stand firmly with the state, the government is essentially ceding the skies to the TTP. The people of KP deserve to know whether their government is committed to their survival or to providing political cover for those who wish to destroy them.
