@teacher2teacher I embed 1 on 1 meeting times into my week. On Mondays and Fridays, I do mini-lessons and then the students work while I meet 1-1. The Monday work connects to the rest of the week and the Friday work is connected to a culminating project that we complete by the end of the year.

My take: It's a weak take to attack a dude for getting emotional after seeing his best friend suffer a season-ending, horrifying injury. Showing emotion doesn't preclude you from being a leader or playing quarterback. "I think it was good to see me in that light and that there is still a human factor to me."
