@MEVANS72 Why do you guys act like they don't already pay an extraordinary amount more than most? I can only assume it's because your inability to differentiate between net worth and income has your percentages all wrong

We can also grow the pie by taxing billionaires. Done right, they can grow the pie for society (& thus create stronger consumers) & continue to grow their own wealth. McKenzie Scott started with $32 billion, has given away $26 billion so far, & is still worth between $32B & $42B

Elon Musk is now the first trillionaire, but no one is celebrating this terrifying milestone. With $1 trillion, Musk could give $100 to every single person on Earth, and still be one of the ten richest people in the world. He’d still have $184 billion in the bank!

Elon Musk says that white people are discriminated against despite being a white immigrant from Africa who was able to immigrate to the USA to make a trillion dollars. White privileged right there.

What has Elon Musk taken from you? So ask many including Andrew Neil. Here's the answer: He has taken our peace of mind. He has purposefully pushed us apart, divided us further and profited from our loss of community. And that is hard to ever forgive.

@ClimateWarrior7 Wild that you would call ownership of businesses "hogging" wealth while simultaneously claiming that you have the capacity to "educate people about economics" Sounds like you need educating

I'm tired. Tired of trying to educate people about economics. Tired of unfairness and injustice. $1 trillion is 125 time the global median wealth. That means Elon is hogging 125 times the median resources. This is not rocket science, people!
Ed S@esweeti2

@ClimateWarrior7 He's not consuming 125 million times anything. So many ignorant embarrassing posts demonstrating profound economic illiteracy. He just happens to own a big slice of 2 very valuable companies. This is not liquid wealth, and he doesn't own lots of physical stuff.

Ben Affleck says actors have no job security because 130K people are in the actors union and only 30,000 work each year "I got real cold and had a couple of movies that didn't work... all of a sudden it can be kind of over for you" "there's no seniority, there's no tenure, there's no retirement. There's no gold watch" "if your show doesn't work or your movie doesn't work and nobody wants to hire you, they're just gonna hire someone else" "there's 130,000 people in SAG and there's only 30,000 people that work every year"

@bourscheid You’d never be a billionaire with that attitude. You have to be able to take advantage of the most disadvantaged people on the planet. You must be singularly focused on turning a profit regardless of the impact on others. You must forever forego contentment in the quest for more.

I really don’t understand true greed. If I was worth $1 trillion, you’d have to physically stop me from solving as many of the world’s problems as possible. Everyone would have a home, food on the table, proper healthcare, happiness. I just don’t get it.

@EzgiPala15 @KatelynTweeter We are obviously crossing wires due to location. 12 weeks seems somewhat reasonable. Some us states allow it absolutely. To me that is just as extreme as saying not at all, probably more tbh

I'm pro-life. I understand some women are in tough circumstances. I understand pregnancy can be hard and birth can be scary. I understand parenting is difficult and your lifestyle will change. I just don't think any of these things are good enough reasons to end the life of an unborn baby 🤷🏽‍♀️

@CshroomM @Creepyface1 @Andrew669631 @0xDavecryps We pay property taxes for local services. You might not like that; that's a different discussion, but since we do and since they do use some of that money for cleanup etc, what's the problem with giving some of those jobs to people that wish to return to society? Its work

@tidbit5s @Creepyface1 @Andrew669631 @0xDavecryps "I'm assuming the money stays where it" No, you are suggesting productive people get stolen from by the state, so nonproductive people get state jobs that would hire them for their low effort work. The state doesn't generate wealth magically.

Apparently, wanting everyone to have food, housing, healthcare, and education makes me a radical leftist. If believing people shouldn’t suffer or die because they’re poor is radical, then so be it. I call that being a decent human being.

@CshroomM @Creepyface1 @Andrew669631 @0xDavecryps missing the point. I'm assuming the money stays where it is and just suggesting to give low barrel jobs to people that are willing to accept reintegration. If your suggesting we take the pool of money away from those jobs altogether that's a complete different conversation

@CshroomM @Creepyface1 @Andrew669631 @0xDavecryps It's not steeling money if they are working for it🤡 that's the point. Money should be earned, not given away. Giving people a purpose gets them back on their feet. I'm talking about low barrel jobs that already exist and are necessary not just made for the purpose.

@tidbit5s @Creepyface1 @Andrew669631 @0xDavecryps If you wanna run charity programs for such people feel free to, nether me or most people actually want to, so stop stealing our money to do it, and use the one you earned to run those projects, if you are right they will go well and you will do well.

@CshroomM @Creepyface1 @Andrew669631 @0xDavecryps Seems harsh but this is actually the fairest solution. If you don't have a home/money, then the government should offer those things on the basis that those people will work... Offer them tax paying jobs that help the community in return for shelter and food. If not, so be it

@YouWontFeelThis @niceblackdude No, it's really not. There is nobody alive today that that watched the system come down on them. Infact to the contrary, those still alive today watched the system open up to them but it did so at the same time as race baiting ideologues told them they were still oppressed

Half-agree. It shouldn't be about race. But you've got the wrong culprit. It wasn't the Left. The people yelling loudest about bias here were Black, almost all of them, and they're reacting to a long history that feels real to them, separate from whatever the facts of this case actually are. That's not some political operation. It's a community that's watched the system come down harder on people who look like them, and is primed to see it here too. And lumping all of that under 'the Left' doesn't work. Most Black folks vote Democrat, sure. But that's not the same as being 'the Left' the way you mean it.

The Karmelo Anthony case was NEVER about race. The Left took it upon themselves to make it about race because they can’t stand real justice when it holds one of their protected class accountable. Murder is murder. Stop race-baiting. The grift is as old and tired as Al Sharpton!
