I was also introduced to Randy Stonehill. Heard Nicky Cruz preach. And was profoundly affected by Tom Skinner’s sermon, which I recently found here: ttslibrary.bandcamp.com/track/the-new-…

@Alex_DiPrima Psalm 150:4-6
Praise Him with timbrel and dancing;
Praise Him with stringed instruments and pipe.
Praise Him with loud cymbals;
Praise Him with resounding cymbals.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!

@CTmagazine @bonniekristian Have a hard time not thinking that expressed concerns about Christian nationalism by Christian political liberals are mostly attempts to distance themselves from Christian conservatives. It’s more politics than theology.

“Why is our group identity not the church? Why can’t we fight nationalism with loyalty to our congregations or neighborhoods?”

@sometimesalight In my evangelical circles I see very few people aligning themselves with a candidate. I hear a lot of them talking as if a big win by the wrong group will signal the beginning of an apocalypse.

This tracks w/ what I'm seeing anectdotally. Folks who held their noses in 2016 are now pro-Trump. This might be the first time I've believed in the slippery slope theory.

Most evangelicals say their vote for Trump is motivated by their support for the president rather than their opposition to Biden. New data from @PewResearch: christianitytoday.com/news/2020/octo…

@AJWTheology Thank you. This was wonderfully insightful, true, sharp and encouraging. I needed it.
