IC3 focuses on cryptocurrencies, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, security, and scalability but what makes it different is the mindset. It’s not just about publishing papers. It’s about building infrastructure that can survive in the real world. And that’s exactly what happened with #Avalanche. Emin Gün Sirer’s research on scalable consensus didn’t stay inside academic journals. It evolved into Ava Labs, and eventually into the Avalanche network a high-throughput, low-latency blockchain built from academically rigorous work in distributed systems and cryptography. The reciprocity requirement in V2 from @TheDAOLabs fixed something that annoyed me early on. People requesting engagement then ignoring everyone else's content made no sense.
