@UpdatesChennai Chennai has a silent but strong demand for luxury, be it real-estate or retail. It's something that the market is only slowly beginning to realize. Not as much as Mumbai or Blore for sure, but still there. Hardly any luxury retails for such a big city for starters.

🚨CMRL has completed the Detailed Project Report for the proposed 5.69-kms UG extension from Light House to Madras High Court. Will soon submit it to the TN Govt. The ₹4,300 Crs project includes 4 stations of Ezhilagam, Island Ground, Secretariat & Madras High Court.

@RakeshRosh24 @UpdatesChennai Wouldn't say it's totally unnecessary since it connects to preexisting High Court station. Any interchange station is important, increases footfalls exponentially. Also possible this was initiated by Secretariat/high court employees rather than by CMRL themselves.

@UpdatesChennai Waiting to see what the final orientation will be w.r.t Fort and Beach. Shared operations between CMRL and SR needs interagency cooperation. The terminal stop should be Beach and not Fort as it is now. Rates on par with current metro should be fine.

It's the exact same play book. They'll try to shield him as much as possible.

The DMK online ecosystem needs to understand one thing first & foremost... We cannot match or overcome Route PR & its reach on SM. But we can bust their lies & keep asking them to deliver on their promises. That's where the focus needs to be. Anything else will be a failure!
