Andrew Yang and this guy are hilarious examples of how positive racial stereotypes work

@FuckedUpYogis The short guy was supposed to play into it instead of displaying his petite rage. The tall guy was supposed to neg/degrade her. Cmon guys. Teamwork!!

There’s something to be said about the hyper-optimistization of the net, technology, etc.
Back then it was more folksy and homely.
It’s like if you started dating a supermodel, it’s like yea she’s technically the most symmetrical and beautiful but for some reason it feels a bit empty. You kinda still like your normal looking ex. See Sydney Sweeney’s recent appeal to get a taste of how tired people are of hyper-optimization.
I think that sentiment applies here, early 2010s tech was our beautiful mid. I was really young though to be fair so I my perspective is limited.

@tkisrage Stopping just before smartphones would have been pretty cool

Before watching this, I thought he was a disgusting retard and had complete contempt for anyone who considered this guy an intellectual.
After watching this, I realized that I am out of words.

When your mom tells you to get a job so now you have to explain to her you’re reinventing the US legal system with Twitter anons.

I’m calling for a three-tiered justice system. Not guilty. Guilty. …and lastly, Nigga you did that shit. If you get a “nigga you did that shit” ruling, you cannot appeal. If you receive the death penalty, it won’t take 30 years to happen. Would save a ton of time and money.

@usrbinsean I remember reading takes from the 90s saying the internet was essentially going to wipe out ignorance. Everybody would have the world’s catalog at their disposal.
Is it odd that I almost teared up thinking about how optimistically naive people were lol.
English

@tkisrage It was great. I had this vision early on that widespread adoption of the Internet would be a watershed moment for humanity insofar as it would render ignorance obsolete and would usher in a new era of progressive liberal democracy.
Then the Internet actually happened.

@Risky_Chris Yea I had 2000s as a close second but on second thought it might be first
English

@tkisrage dialup sucked and retroactively drags the decade down, but the n64 was magical, and peak simpsons.
2000s were more fun and fulfilling.
