We used to say we fear the likes of Communist Cuba, China, and the USSR because their leaders were military tyrants that would use power to seize what they wanted, regardless of who they had to kill to get it? Is this who we want to be? Do we sacrifice all we have so painfully wrought from our Founding, thru the torture and purging of the Civil War and Civil Rights eras, to become the thing we most feared?
