@ANI There is absolute arrogance in her message! She feels like privileged & what this BS, my father / gfather were in the Army. Are you? & now people of Maharastra have the right to ask, what about Marathi? Regarding the traffic, there is always a chaos in India & no magic to solve.

#WATCH | Teena Choudhry, the woman seen in the viral video wearing a black cap, confronting Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan over a traffic jam, releases a statement detailing her side of the story She says, "I have received so many messages regarding my safety. I want to let you know that I'm fine and I appreciate the concern. That day, on April 21, I dropped my daughter off for her music class at four. I was meant to pick her up at 4.45. When I took a left turn from Mahindra Taj, we got stuck in a jam there. I was in my car for 25 minutes. When the traffic did not move, I got out to find out what the problem was. For the next one and a half hours, I went to every single police officer there to request that if you get the two buses removed, people who are stuck, we can make a U-turn and join the main road. I received no reaction, no response. I did not throw that bottle towards any protester or rally, but on the ground to attract the attention of the police... Mr Mahajan was actually the only person in that rally who at least tried to listen to what I was saying. On his instructions, the two buses were moved, and we all took a U-turn, and we were able to join the main road..." (Disclaimer: Screenshot of the viral video from social media)

What I said was wrong. India didn’t agree to stopping import of oil from Russia anytime. Also it vigorously protested 50 percent tariff imposition. I was trying to make a limited counterpoint to d other panelist. But factually incorrect. My apologies.

"India agreed to stop buying oil from Iran. We agreed to stop buying oil from Russia despite so much criticism from our opposition. India agreed to a 50% tariff without saying too much. So where exactly is India not doing enough to work with America?" questions Ram Madhav

I was sitting in my cabin a few days ago, overhearing one of our relationship managers speaking to a boy’s mother from South Delhi. Her son earns 73 lakh per annum and works in a reputed company. Good profile. Then she started describing the kind of wife she wants. She should be tall, fair, very homely, soft spoken, caring, and from a good family. Fine. Standard checklist stuff. Then she said something that genuinely messed with my head. We are a business family I don’t want my son’s wife to work after marriage. Our relationship manager asked calmly, but your son is working? She said that’s fine, he can work I just don’t want my daughter in law to work. So we suggested, then maybe we look for someone who isn’t career oriented or isn’t working? She immediately said no. I want her to be well educated, from a reputed college, smart, but after marriage, no job. Pause and think about that - In her own words, she wants an educated, polished, presentable girl who will sit at home, take care of the house, serve the family, look good, and revolve around the son. Good enough to raise intelligent children. Impressive enough to boost family status. In my head, one brutal line kept repeating - You’re not looking for a partner for your son. You’re looking for a well qualified maid with a degree. And a body. And this is not a one off case. This mindset is everywhere. Educated but not ambitious, modern but traditional, smart but submissive. We want the resume of a corporate achiever and the obedience of the 1950s. Sometimes the problem is not the boys, it’s the blueprint given to them.

@LowyInstitute @SusannahCPatton @JackRSato If someone reading it to find faults they will. The first 2 super powers make sense. India doing well is a great sign in general for the world. World cannot be a bipolar. To prevent future wars India need to be another super power so that balance tilts and prevents wars.

India vs Pakistan tomorrow. Heart says don’t watch, mind says does it even matter, patriotism says boycott, sanity says cheer your team. Even my mai-baaps are giving mixed signals. What on earth should I do? 🇮🇳🏏🇵🇰

On April 29th, the INC had demanded that India vote against the IMF loan to Pakistan, which was considered today by its Executive Board. India has only abstained from the vote. The Modi Government has chickened out. A strong NO would have sent a powerful signal.
Jairam Ramesh@Jairam_Ramesh

The IMF has just announced that its Executive Board is meeting on May 9th, 2025 to consider Pakistan's request for a new $1.3 billion loan under the IMF's Resilience and Sustainability Facility. The INC expects India to strongly oppose this assistance.

The Jal Jeevan Mission was launched on Aug 15, 2019 by PM Modi to provide drinking water to every rural household by 2024. After 5 years & spending ₹3.6 lakh crore, the scheme has been extended again till 2028. What does this tell us? ▪️Ineffective implementation & a sheer waste of hard-earned public money. ▪️In the last 5 years, reports have exposed inflated connection numbers, faulty pumping stations, and exaggerated pipeline laying counts—all pointing to large-scale corruption. ▪️Extending the mission till 2028 means more institutionalized loot in the name of providing water to the needy. ▪️Instead of ensuring clean water access, the scheme has turned into yet another massive financial black hole. Who’s accountable for this mismanagement? #Budget2025

@ElliPaehtz @MokhtarYou10883 @AMKazarian @Jesse_Feb What if we Hindus come back tomorrow and said - we have to do long prayer with bells etc will that be allowed. The on & off religion thingy harms that religion more than they think. If their prophet was alive today- he would make so many concessions in the religious things today.

@MokhtarYou10883 @AMKazarian @Jesse_Feb Maybe you should read a bit more carefully. The main issue here is not that he refused the handshake but the disrespectful hand signing that he declines it!
