Mamata Banerji had created an army of goons, like Hitler's SS, which terrorized the people of West Bengal, and regularly committed crimes like stealing from shops without paying for it. The police turned a blind eye to such atrocities and crimes, fearing that if they took action they themselved would be victimized. Now that the TMC has been roundly defeated in the elections, people are taking revenge on these goons by beating them, just as it happened when WW2 ended and the Nazis were defeated. I have a Bengali friend who used to work in a MNC in Noida. He was a hard-core Anti BJP and Anti Modi. He left Noida a couple of years back and went back to Kolkata to open his own Restaurant. After a month of opening the business, a ruling party councillor sent his man to his Restaurant and asked him to pay 5 Lakhs because the councillor wanted to bring a Singer to perform in Durga Puja. My friend declined to pay the money. He was threatened by the party workers. A week later, the corporation van would come at night and throw the garbage in front of his shop every night and he cleaned it everyday. This continued for couple of weeks until he closed down his Restaurant. Last day he called me and shared this story with me. He said "I used to hate BJP and Modi but I am happy we are free from Mamta Regime because of Modi"

If she makes one of her MLAs resign to fight a bypoll, Suvendu Adhikari will stand against her and defeat her for the third time. She can't ask any of her Rajya Sabha MPs to resign and make way for her because she no longer has a majority in the Bengal Assembly, and BJP would snatch that seat if fresh Rajya Sabha elections are held due to resignation. She can't go to the Lok Sabha either till at least 2029. So where will she go after getting up every day?
