Danmark har mange tåbelige afgifter. Et eksempel: En æske af pap er afgiftsfri, fordi den bruges til at transportere mad. Men et rundt bæger af præcis samme materiale kan være afgiftspligtigt – fordi det ifølge myndighederne også er egnet til at spise af. Altså: Jo mere nyttig emballagen er for forbrugeren, jo hårdere beskattes den. Det er ikke bare et benspænd overfor virksomheder og borgere. Det er også dårligt for miljøet. Emballage, der både transporterer maden og fungerer som service, sparer ressourcer. Ingen ekstra tallerkener. Ingen opvask. Ingen separat engangsservice. Men det straffer afgiften. Det er bare ét eksempel på, hvad afgiften på engangsservice fører til af administrativt bøvl og vilkårlighed, som er skidt for retssikkerheden. @DeeWaynee94 If certain acts are bad then they're bad. Adding a deity doesn't make them bad. If they are not inherently bad then adding a deity doesn't change that. The deity just changes the question from "why is this bad?" to "what does God want?" Abraham shows us that's not the same.

We understand it. We just reject the hidden premise you lot keep sneaking in: that morality needs a god to exist in the first place. Humans can reason about harm, fairness, consent and wellbeing without pretending slavery, genocide, and eternal torture become “moral” because a deity allegedly approved them.

Israel is our ally. They always have been. I believe Israel is our closest ally on the planet. Here’s the thing: You can & should always criticize an ally when deserved. And criticizing Israel is not antisemitism. But my new political party is moving beyond simple criticism. Too many Democrats are openly hostile to Israel, too many are questioning Israel’s very existence, too many view Israel - and not the Islamists - as the bad guy in the region. Too many Dems no longer view Israel as our ally. And way too many on the left are now openly antisemitic. If my new political party continues down this road it would be a horrible thing for peace in this world, and politically, it would rightly destroy the Democratic Party.

Malaysia is the same country that banned Israeli athletes from a Paralympic competition because of their identity, and the one that has repeatedly supported Hamas. Ambassador Hazan urged Israelis not to travel to Malaysia, not for a visit and not even for a layover. “We never know if we will succeed in securing the Israelis’ release, and it is not a given when we do. There are Israelis who have gotten into trouble.” Forbidding Jews and Israelis to enter your country because of their religion is not a criticism of Israel, it’s pure racism and discrimination.
