To all my Japanese friends, we love your technology. There’s a small cult following of people that still collect and use crt TVs and vhs tapes and video games. As the birthplace of this stuff we appreciate it. I’m curious if there’s a subculture in Japan that collects old TVs and tapes as well. I know that when we stopped getting new VCRs,TVs, tapes, and parts Japan had a surplus and was still using and making them for a bit.
