Born in Romania on March 12, 2012, Ryker joined the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office in August of that year — expertly trained in patrol work and bomb detection with his handler, Deputy Brian Biegel (retired). After 10 years of loyal service, K-9 Ryker enjoyed a well-deserved retirement with the Biegel family. He passed peacefully on March 17. K-9 Ryker, thank you for your bravery and unwavering commitment. 🚨Pearland Animal Services Seeking Hospice Foster for Dog Diagnosed with Cancer 🚨 TX Pearland Animal Services is urgently seeking a hospice foster or adopter for “George,” a 66-pound German Shepherd recently diagnosed with osteosarcoma after veterinarians discovered a mass on his face. George is also heartworm positive, but despite his medical challenges, staff say he remains incredibly gentle, calm, and affectionate. He is dog-indifferent and continues to show a sweet, loving temperament. A foster home offering a soft place to rest and a caring presence could make all the difference for George. 📞 Those interested in helping George are encouraged to contact Pearland Animal Services at 281-658-1970 as soon as possible.
