@rendy_jones Same. It’s the hot take/come at me bro mentality that’s so toxic and unnecessary to cinemagoing for me

@DinosaurDracula My guess is that if this was the 80s, then the candy bars were still full-size and yeah, they're totally going in that house

@BaldMelonTim @miggsboson This was the exact thing I was going to mention here. The movie at the time was strongly going for a more fantasy/action vibe that Disney wasn't really doing anymore, hence why Bluth went off to do his own thing. And Bluth knew families would enjoy these types of film.

no. just…no.
I have so many feelings about this shot, but listen; it’s fine, I get why it’s used, what it’s portraying whenever it’s done in media. It’s just come up in SO many shows and movies I’ve seen, some with absolutely no reason to do it other than to spice the shots up so it doesn’t all look the same
but it doesn’t look good?? I mean??? I guess it does but it’s such a blatantly obvious trick or gimmick in filming that doesn’t feel anywhere close to being natural to me idk. Like, dutch angles are cooler. Conveying a different thing but WAY COOLER!
WHERE ARE THE DUTCH ANGLES??

@kibblesmith It's amazing to know that the Migrant Mother was only 33 at the time of that iconic photograph

@JPMajor If you ever get the chance, pick up this delightful book from 1964, illustrated by Peter P. Plasencia. Such a great fun, midcentury gem

@redherringdraws Yeah, it’s a big bummer they didn’t mention Invisible Creature (I guess they aren’t here on Twitter anymore)

@blauereiter They've made the Art book available free (and legal) on Archive.org: archive.org/details/batman…

Still one of the best American animated series ever made imho. The opening sequence itself belongs in the animation hall of fame.
I should really dig out my ( possibly misplaced ) art book for the series- amzn.to/3LQDiYt
