🚨‼️Breaking News I’ve received footage of HDC Deputy Director and murderer Ismail Abdul Raheem (Isu) attacking Asham and repeatedly trying to grab the young woman, by hitting and pushing Asham to the ground. The first time he managed to grab her and this video shows his second attempt. Asham acts in self defence. Contrary to police statements fed to the media, Isu was not the victim of a severe assault by Asham. News saying he was hospitalised due to injuries from the altercation are completely false. The hospitalisation was arranged to avoid drug testing.

Rather than responding in a mocking tone, the you could simply have asked @SobeAbdulla to repeat the question. In UK Parliament, cabinet ministers ask Scottish MPs to repeat their questions, sometimes more than once, when they struggle with strong Scottish accents. No one considers this disrespectful, it is a normal courtesy.
Majlis exists to ensure ministers respond to questions from citizens, who are represented by their MPs. Dismissing a question by claiming not to understand it is unacceptable. The appropriate response would have been to politely ask Sobe to repeat the question more slowly, or to request that it be asked in official Dhivehi if necessary. Neither was done.
Language must never be used as an excuse in Majlis to dodge legitimate questions.

This is total nonsense!
One of the recent policy decisions was to lower cigarette import duty. The govt said it was because of a recommendation from WHO. She is the health minister but declined to answer questions about that, saying she wasn't ready for it.
If she can't answer it, so why hold the position of the health minister?

A 21 year old guy named Asham was entering Farukolhufushi with his female friend at sunset yesterday when they came across Isu. Isu told them they could not enter the area. Asham asked who he was. Isu replied that he was from HDC. Asham asked him to show his card. Isu said he did not have to show it and struck the front of the motorbike. His shirt buttons were undone and he was drinking from a bottle, which Asham believed to be beer. Isu then started taking pictures. Asham told him not to take pictures and said they were leaving. Isu pushed the motorbike, causing it and Asham to fall. Asham also tried to film Isu, but Isu tried to stop him. Asham then asked his female friend to call the police. She called the police, after which Asham told her to leave immediately cause he felt Isu was not letting him leave. Isu then came closer, grabbed her hands, moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her over her chest area. Isu refused to let her go. Asham became angry and pushed Isu. Isu attacked Asham with a motorbike key, then hit him in the face and that is when the fight started. It was a drunk Isu who initiated the attacks. He is currently in hospital to avoid drug and alcohol testing. He is being protected by the police. Here is the footage from the incident. Isu did not let him film, so this is what Asham managed to capture.

▫️The RTI never requested technical drawings from the project supplier or private corporate secrets. The applicant demanded the exact amount of public tax money spent on the Phase 2 cable project by HDC (100% state owned enterprise)
▫️Public expenditure is never a private supplier secret making their reliance on Article 25(ހ) of the RTI Act is a legal joke also using Article 25(ނ) as an excuse is complete nonsense while there's no active bid evaluation to protect, because this project is already completed and handed over to STELCO. The law clearly prohibits blanket rejections requiring any genuinely private details to be redacted while releasing the rest.
▫️Muizzu appointed an ex military MD to HDC specifically to make executing and hiding these type of state theft much easier.
These are the reasons why @MMuizzu recently suffered a humiliating 70% rejection at LCE/Referendum.
