I’ve often criticised Arteta for being overly cautious in approach, reminiscent of him as a player but that whole Zubimendi/Eze/Saka move to bring Dowman into the game was pure genius. From starting 11 to the end he totally nailed it. 🔴⚪️

Just seems a bit weird that apparently Arsenal are incapable of creating from open play and can only do it from Setpieces but every week teams put 10 behind the ball against Arsenal (why? They can’t create from open play?) and risk conceding more Setpieces? Doesn’t seem smart.

On this day 1989 The #Arsenal beat Norwich City 4-3 at Highbury in a game that received notoriety for a mass brawl. David O'Leary beat George Armstrong's all time Arsenal appearance record, when he played his 622nd game for the Gunners and celebrated it by scoring a rare goal.

@WG_RumblePants I remember the ODI tour being the warm-up and then the Tests. I think that was still the case in 2005 (the Greatest Summer). That built the Tests up more. Always think ODis after a Test series are an anti-climax. Although we did play Bangladesh in a couple of Tests as well

Is it just me who pines for the days when England played a Test series against an opposition team followed by a ODI series against the same team? The world was a better, easier to understand place when the international schedule had some logic to it.

@tds122 Rather Smith than Pope. And we can date to dream. Wood more likely than Archer. Depending on pitch /conditions I’d be tempted to go all pace attack with Woakes got Bash. Need one bowler to give control (and yes I know his overseas record) and think Woakes more likely
