In the year 2000 my family lived in Zimbabwe. We saw each other regularly and had a good solid family life. We would spend weekends on the farm or a game reserve with my uncle, the Chief Warden of Zim Parks. Today, my daughter lives in London with my granddaughter, my mother, in Florida, USA, my cousins and aunt in Australia, me in RSA, my sister in Zambia. Mugabe shattered our family and spread us across the world.

But honeatly if we look back into history, this is exactly what you and your folks did to Africans over horribly long periods of time. Generations were lost while you stole the riches of the continent. I disagree with Mugabe on a lot of things but not on land reform. I might disagree with the execution but the intention was right. That was very necessary and at some point it had to be done

I suggest you educate yourself on the Zim land reform. How can you be so ignorant? Part of the Lanc Hse agreements, after 1980 every farm that came up for sale, the Mug govt had first option on the land & the British govt paid the market price if the Zim govt wanted it. The land was to be selected according to criteria that expanded TTLs & gave the land to the indigenous subsistence farmers. For 4 years every farm purchased went to Mug cronies & not one went to the people intended. Every purchase was a high value prestigious farm until the Brits said “enough” in the mid eighties. The constitution still ensured that every farm that came up for sale was first offered to the govt, which by then was bankrupt & sclerotic. It is also why the Z$ collapsed when the land invasions occurred 10+ yrs later. The majority of invaded farms had been passed for purchase by the govt & had mortgages on them. It was inevitable that banking & currency collapse followed because it was clear property rights no longer existed.

@tinomabwe @RoryDuncan1966 'The intention was right ' Are you on drugs of some sort ? His intention all along was to play to the masses...promise them land riches etc etc then once in power give it to his family & friends to keep him in power And that's exactly what happened..

@tinomabwe @RoryDuncan1966 Why are you in Australia then? At some point then the people can evict you. You will have no arguments against it. It is not your land.
