@TheKouk Leaving inflation for longer will be more detrimental. We've kicked the can for longer enough!

There is no way the RBA can further tighten monetary policy with the economy falling off a fjord. Making an extra half a million people unemployed for the sake of meeting the inflation target a little sooner would be monetary policy vandalism

From my understanding the rule is the following - if you're in, around or near a opposing player trying to catch the ball and they drop it as a result of you making eye contact with the player and not the ball. It's a penalty regardless of whether you touch the player or the ball.

The policing of the “disruptor” tactic by match officials is aimed at ensuring a fair contest between a defending player attempting to field a kick and a chaser from the attacking team competing for the ball in the air. nrl.com/news/2026/04/1…

I lived in Hungary for several years under the Orbán dictatorship. The funny thing was, people could and did say whatever came into their heads, protests were held in front of the parliament, there was a gay cruise bar down the road and Orbán held elections. And yet, the country was a dictatorship. Whereas in the UK, people tend to be distinctly guarded and if they do say the wrong thing very publicly, they get locked up. And yet, it's a free country. Once you understand that words can mean whatever we want them to mean, it begins to make sense.

Social cohesion isn’t something we take for granted. It’s something we build together, through respect and understanding. His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa is in Australia, supporting our strong and diverse Muslim community and the values that bring us together. A global voice for interfaith dialogue, and a leader in the fight against extremism and hate, his work continues to bring people together across faiths and cultures. Thank you for meeting with me in Sydney this morning.

Teachers deserve to be paid fairly, and to have safe work environements. You'd think that wouldn't be controversial, right? Wrong. These teachers from my local area are fighting the LNP for fairer wages, and to be safe at work, and it was a pleasure to host them at my office.

Lt Gen Susan Coyle is Chief of the Australian Army Her official records show - -no combat arms service -no personal weapon use in defence -no instances of being under enemy small arms fire A Chief of the Army who has never experienced direct combat action. Let that sink in. She does however do a wicked Welcome to Country, very often

Cutting the NDIS is not just cruel, it’s bad economics. Every dollar spent on the NDIS puts $2.25 back into the economy, by enabling greater workforce participation. If Labor needs revenue they should start with a 25% tax on gas exports that would bring in $17 billion a year.

Right now, Labor is gearing up to rip funding from the NDIS in the upcoming budget. There's always money for war but right when people are doing it the toughest, the NDIS and the people it supports are facing cuts.

BREAKING: Rents rose 43.9 per cent in the five years to September, according to Cotality, two-and-a-half times faster than wages which grew 17.5 per cent. Average tenants now pay a record 33.4 per cent of their pre-tax income on rent. Labor’s plan? A further 30% increase.

It could be useful now if everyone with a view, one way or the other, on Ben Roberts-Smith would just “go dark” and let the process have its day. Ultimately, jurors will decide on the evidence presented to them.

The three lads at the top were murdered by the piece of shit at the bottom. He was a Taliban posing as a friendly Afghan National Army soldier, working with the Australians. After the incident, they sent Ben and his team in to get him. It sounds like Ben was the man that the bosses sent in to sort things out. He is the bloke you want in your corner when shit goes down. Unfortunately Ben never caught up with him. We had seven soldiers murdered by Taliban posing as Afghan Army. The boys did not know who the enemy was. They didn't wear a uniform and after they shot at our troops, they hid amongst the woman and children. Nothing is perfect in war ..

@Niatheno @macsween_prue They notified the MSM and they were set into position. All of that could've been avoided if they rang him and said come in. He would've. All staged.

Disgusted that the AFP chose to make the arrest of Robert’s-Smith a PR exercise in public humiliation. He offered to hand himself in, but they opted to ambush him in public, in front of his kids & before the media. And we are supposed to respect such organisations?

@Niatheno @macsween_prue You're completely ignoring the fact the AFP could've called him and he would hand himself in. Instead they staged it for the media to set an example and humiliate him. Are you ok with the AFP conducting themselves in this way? Putting aside whether you believe he is guilty or not

@AlfredGSD @macsween_prue Yeah? Just like his defamation case was thrown out of court as he was ruled by the judge to be a war criminal and a disgrace to Australia. The AFP and Department of Prosecutions don't proceed with these things if they don't have significant evidence.

@Niatheno @macsween_prue BRS said he would hand himself in if they wanted to arrest him. Why would the AFP call the MSM to be there to film the arrest? Why would they do it in front of his family and the public. It will be thrown out of court due a lack of evidence. The whole thing stinks

@AlfredGSD @macsween_prue I know. But considering they've already found that he probably did commit war crimes and the fact the AFP wouldn't have charged him unless they were confident it would result in a conviction - they're probably already at that level of beyond reasonable doubt

Really impressed with Tom Duffy tonight in a loss, his and Dearden’s careers are a bit mirrored at the moment. Came in a little too early, struggled and made a move to another QLD club. I think the Duffy signing could become an important one in Brissy over the next few years.
