@Flounderpork @SOLIDWORKS You can get some fantastic starter 3D scanners in the $1k-3k range for small parts, and for those with larger budgets and higher requirements there's really high precision/high quality scanners that go into the $100k range

@Flounderpork @SOLIDWORKS There's a lot of great options on the market right now, and it really depends on how much accuracy you need, as well as the relative size of the parts you're scanning (eg. are you scanning palm-sized machined parts or room-sized equipment and assemblies)

Today we announced our newest 3D AI foundation model, which takes 3D scan data and automatically converts it to editable parametric CAD geometry. We've built tools on top of this, including an @SOLIDWORKS plugin that will reconstruct the 3D scan with a native feature tree...

@cullenofbrien @autodesk Our high level goal is to work with your CAD tool of choice, in your CAD tool of choice. We're launching with our SOLIDWORKS plugin right now but will be working to integrate across more CAD packages throughout this year. We'll post on here when we have more to share!
