So $MARA sold 1/3 of their bitcoin recently. That was “nothing to worry about”. $NAKA is now selling. That’s also “nothing to worry about”. MSTR also missed a week of buying after last week’s being a huge drop from the previous week everyone got excited about. Meanwhile people praise high yields on MSTR prefs as if yields dropping on high demand wouldn’t have been a good sign (which didn’t happen).

Tim Dillon claims Sam Altman and Peter Thiel are summoning an ancient Sumerian demon through AI. "I don't want to scare anyone. I have sources on this." What has @saylor done! There will be unlimited demand for this product. Which means there will be unlimited demand for Bitcoin. Which means that Bitcoin price must rapidly and materially reprice higher. Which means that $MSTR equity will experience unlimited demand. Which means that @saylor will get to hammer the equity ATM without limit as well. Which means that $MSTR will suck unlimited capital from both credit and debt markets. Which means that stocks will collapse and credit interest rates will explode higher (also collapsing). Which means that $MSTR will become the largest company on the planet. Which means that we are witnessing the next phase of hyperbitcoinization. Strap in.

Teachers’ Pension Reportedly Loses $7 Billion in Private Equity Bets in 2025 “Ontario Teachers’ Posts First Private Equity Loss Since 2009” “Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is overhauling its approach to investing in private equity after the $200 billion asset manager booked its first loss on that portfolio in 16 years. After the value of its private equity holdings dropped by about C$10 billion ($7.4 billion) in 2025, the Canadian firm said it will shift its focus in that business to just three sectors: financial services, technology and services. The overall fund still generated a 6.7% return last year, thanks to the rising value of stocks, gold and its investment in Elon Musk’s SpaceX…” bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

A $200 Million loan given to Hudson's Bay Co that indirectly impacts the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. Hudson's Bay faces liquidation. "Hudson’s Bay Co. in June 2023 went cap in hand seeking “incremental liquidity” from landlords, financial institutions and other lenders to shore up its Canadian operations, but the only one to step up was Cadillac Fairview Corp. Ltd., a subsidiary of the $266.3-billion Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan..." March 2025 This is like Nordstrom's liquidating in the U.S. x.com/kshaughnessy2/…

@thepowerfulHRV They don’t realize that this is exactly what strategy wants, and if the dividend did get too high, when Bitcoin finally pumps Strategy can just buy these back at $99, or call them forcibly at $105

As of today, the variable rate on this product is down to 4.25%. Short-term price action aside, product innovations like this will make BTC an increasingly useful and attractive asset to hold.

In the decade I’ve been posting here, I’ve never done a product review. But here’s one that may interest readers. I tried out Coinbase’s “borrow” product. This lets customers borrow cash using their BTC as collateral. I didn’t have a need for this, but since it’s becoming a popular retail-facing product for Coinbase and other companies, I wanted to see how easy they’ve made it. I was amazed. The entire process was simple and took just a few minutes. You deposit BTC as collateral and get USDC, which is immediately convertible to USD, then a quick transfer to your linked bank account. It’s seamless and you never leave the platform. The variable APR 30-day average is currently 4.82%. Of course DeFi borrowing has been around a long time. But my sense is that many people in this space don’t realize how easy the process has become for the casual, non-tech user (or how competitive the APRs are). It certainly makes BTC an even more useful and attractive asset to own. My main takeaway was “disruption.” Once you get in the trenches and see how quickly products are evolving in this space, you understand the growth potential -- and how much the legacy Wall Street firms will lose if they don’t adapt and dive in.

Funny how someone can be so right and so wrong at the same time. You probably don't need as much wealth to retire, but you definitely can't have all that wealth in a high-yield savings account. Inflation will eat you alive within a few decades.
Tekee@Tekeee

People think you need insane wealth to retire. In reality, ~$2M in a high-yield savings account at 4–5% generates $80k–$100k a year. That’s a complete salary… without working.

🚨 Howard Lutnick's family firm bought up the rights to tariff refunds for 20-30 cents on the dollar after Liberation Day last year. Today, the Supreme Court struck the tariffs down. For every $100 invested, Lutnick's sons just made 3-5x. Welcome to Crony Corrupt America.

On the subject of $STRC am I right in thinking that to keep strc collateralised at 5:1 saylor needs to sell $400 of common atm for every $100 of strc atm?
