𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐇𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐬, #𝟏𝟓 – A sophomore on the Bulldogs historic 1996 Final Four team, Hughes averaged 18+ minutes per game and was more than just a role player, shooting 50% on the season inside the arc. In the 1996 NCAA tournament, Hughes totaled 15 rebounds, 5 steals, and 3 assists. He finished his Bulldog career in 1998 having started 58 games, and was a career 40% shooter. Whit is another example from that '96 team of players 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢, representing his home state on college basketball's biggest stage. –– 𝘈 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘞𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘍𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘴. 🙏

There was a study done several years ago about how except for basically golf and swimming which are basically repetitive motions, the top players in all the other sports did not specialize in their eventual top sport. The things they learned in other sports apparently help them rise to the top.

@Scott_Maxwell Wait. Those 109 somehow got unvaccinated? Or did they get the vax and it failed? If they are college age, they certainly were not affected by the new law.

Ron DeSantis and his surgeon general railed against vaccine mandates. But now that measles have made a comeback in Florida - 109 cases in Florida this year compared to just 5 cases in the entire nation in 2020 - GOP legislators are finally pushing back. orlandosentinel.com/2026/03/13/flo…

@IsaacDovere @jpodhoretz You’ll catch a lot of flack here in the comments, but I think it’s important to reinforce owning mistakes and correcting them. Good job, and thank you for the correction. Mistakes happen, and hopefully this one won’t happen again.

I want to correct something I posted earlier on X, which inaccurately implied that Mayor Mamdani was the target of political violence in last week’s ISIS inspired attempted terror attack in New York City. Law enforcement officials have said the two terror suspects threw improvised explosive devices at an anti-Islam demonstration and a counterprotest near Mayor Mamdani’s home Saturday, but did not say that he was the target. I apologize for the error and have deleted the original post.

You mean the same unions that delayed the teacher pay increases the state enacted into law so they could leverage other union priorities against those pay increases? We have $1.38 billion in current year that can only be used by districts for teacher pay. That was our initiative, not the school unions’ initiative. Or what about when the school unions sued the state seeking the closure of schools in June of 2020? Would it have been better for kids had they been locked out of school for the year as the unions wanted?
Jules@jmreycroft

@RonDeSantis Why are you so against teachers unions? Our teachers absolutely need someone to advocate for them. Especially when you and their own government won't. We need our teachers. @FLSenate @FloridaGOP @FlaDems @FLSenateGOP @Sen_Albritton

@MASk90098257 @ParentMishmash @ianmSC Well. And no they are not just wearing respirators. I see cloth and surgical in the airport every day. I am not saying they don’t work at some level. but every nurse etc that I know that wore n95 or similar still got the Rona.

@BriCritically @ParentMishmash @ianmSC "...show they were doing “something.”" Yep, that's the whole story behind the charade. But people who still wear one are wearing an FFP2 or N95, and in English, that's a respirator, but people refer to it as a mask. Or are you saying those don't work either?

Except surgical masks nor cloth masks stop a virus and the data proves it and the same ones who were promoting them, did a 180 on both in basically one day after being on record saying they don’t work. Obviously there were zero studies done before they changed their guidance. This was a CYA move by Fauci etc to show they were doing “something.”

@ianmSC Yet, I see people with them all the time.. I want to ask “they aren’t new, why weren’t you wearing one 7 years ago to prevent the flu etc if they are so effective?”

@clayandbuck @BuckSexton Now let’s do something about the people with backpacks. At a minimum they need training session so they don’t whack you in your seat every time they turn.

Enjoy the next week of Spring because the "Polar Vortex" is not done cooking for this extended Winter. Temperatures will soar in the 70s and 80s for > 100 million Americans, but then return to freezing ~10-days. Weather Update (@weathertrader) weather.substack.com/p/march-2-2026…

At least at my airline, the goal is 100% completion factor which we often hit. If a flight cancels, it is because or weather, maintenance etc, not just because of a light passenger count. Sometimes it just can’t be helped and at the end of any day, it is more likely to snowball with crew duty days, equipment availability etc.
