@TS_Trains @CHG3899 I don't think you can ever avoid that, regardless of how you look. Sadly many hetero people just assume everyone is like them. I know how you feel, it's so embarrassing when people ask "do you have a wife/gf" etc, then I have to correct them 🙄

@Grand_DM Players like their characters, it's not adding fun to lose one.

This is a fantastic visual commentary on the shift in tone and stakes between older editions of #dnd and now. Should death roll for permission?
Kevin Lamb@KevinLamb74
@dungeoncraft @newbiedm I heard that doing this helps too. 😉

@Toadsanime Things were financially very good in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s. Even though interest rates were high. People starting work then and buying homes were fortunate. So basically boomers and older Gen-X.
English

Pay has not kept up with inflation. People are poorer.
Folk need to stop pretending like people have as much money as they did in the 90s. Rent costs, house prices are astronomical.
It's not Nintendo's fault, but people are right to be upset their hobby is pricing them out.

In the wake of today's Switch news, I am once again screaming this from the rooftops. A $79.99 game in the big 2025 is still WORLDS cheaper than games were back in the day.

@gingertrvlguru See where it goes but don't let his agency know for goodness' sake!
English

@martyncodes @thrivahealth I'm not sure what the solution to the no-show problem is. I would imagine most surgeries could easily fill each slot for a week ahead, but then if, say, 25% of patients don't turn up, that's a big chunk of appts that could have gone to others 🤷♂️
English

@Chimpy20 @thrivahealth We do need more GPs… but we need to use what GPs we do have, wisely. Something must be wrong in the system
English

Phone GP to get a followup from a recent @thrivahealth test …
Called at 08:00:20
And already 18th in the queue
The NHS is broken … because it fundamentally doesn’t understand patients 🫠
English

@Heyyitsju5tin @HilaryDuff A huge bugbear of mine. I hear it all the time amongst teens.
English

Campaign for @HilaryDuff to headline Manchester pride starts now!
We need our Gay Ad Queen 👑

mike@Mikechrs961
Mariah Carey headlining Brighton Pride is huge I just know Manchester and London are shaking rn 😭
English

@OnlyDanH @NinjaTheory Glad your new graphics do-dah is getting some good use!
English

@martyncodes I think if I was in charge of everything I would make a regional pay cap, say ~£250k pa depending on area. No one needs more than that.
Also people would get paid based on skills required and unpleasantness of job. Public toilet cleaners would get highly paid, for example.
English

Suppose this is worse than communism…
Where you die if you step out of line
Or a socialist utopia where you only work as hard as the next person … (so not very)
BladeoftheSun@BladeoftheS
Ultimately all Capitalism boils down to is the richest people taking over, and constantly making you poorer so they can get richer. Which is exactly what we have.
English

@TS_Trains I think your favourite hobby would be trainspotting 😅, but I'm guessing video games and D&D perhaps as well.
Guessing height at 5'10". First one on the list is kinda obvious 😅 Can't take any stabs at the others!
English

@martyncodes It would be hugely unpopular but I also wonder if it's morally right. I don't know. 🤷♂️ I might be biased as my parents never had much to give away, myself and all my siblings had to get by on our own.

@Andrewislington Sounds like a migraine to me. That's what happens to be before the dizziness and sickness arrives, and then the splitting head pain.
English

@Flip5ide666 When I've done interviews this would probably mean "no" from me, but it depends on the interviewer I think.
English

@zweiwalker89607 Star Wars Aftermath by Chuck Wendig. The story is fine, the writing style is terrible. Like a 10 year old wrote it.
English

@Flip5ide666 I've always taken middle aged to be the period between being old enough to be a grandparent, and retirement. So about 45-65. I would say 65+ is "old age" but I know people 65+ who come across as younger.
English

@MarcWinsland I would imagine Obama is being the bigger man and showing how a decent person behaves, by being polite.
English

@Andrewislington @AffinityWater I've lived in my house for 8 years now and have never once used the bathtub! 😆 (I have a shower cubicle)
English

Feeling decedent so I’m having a bath. My @AffinityWater water meter will not be happy at all but hey, keeping to just showers is exhausting. Sometimes we all need that treat
