Wrong. He was not found innocent. He was found not guilty. Glinner admitted grabbing the phone and throwing it (screenshot below). There is video footage of him doing it. He was found not guilty because they couldn’t be certain that he caused the damage to the phone.

@Heccles94 Because there are times when single sex spaces matter. You cannot expect female guides to share tents and shower blocks with males. And you cannot expect females to compete against males because male bodies are stronger. It's not difficult. Sometimes sex matters.

How on earth is banning trans young people from brownies and trans woman from park runs protecting women? It isn’t. It’s hatred and bigotry pure and simple. There is no difference between transphobia and homophobia - both are utterly despicable and have no place in society.

@oolon The UK law is that work toilets and changing rooms are sex based. The doctor had no rights to be in female only changing rooms and toilets. That's the law.

She was found to have done nothing wrong, whereas the racist nurse who complained about her found to be a liar and all her harassment complaints against Dr Upton dismissed. This scum are continuing that harassment across the world now.

My position hasn't changed in the slightest. What you, and many other men, fail to grasp, possibly because you're so used to women coddling men's feelings you see it as the natural order of things, is that while a trans-identified man is absolutely and rightly free to dress and refer to himself however he likes in our society, that doesn't give him rights over women's beliefs and speech. I don't believe a man literally becomes a woman when he identifies as one, and as I have freedom of speech, I have the right to call him a man. The verifiable truth of sex forms the legal basis for women's rights and for safeguarding. Nothing reveals your inability to grasp this issue, or your fundamental sexism, more than the fact that you, a man, are assuming the right to dictate to women how they should speak about men.

How ever can a nurse employed by the NHS, regulated by the NMC, consider it appropriate to decide whether or not she will use the pronouns a patient has clearly expressed they wish to be addressed by?
