@gasketcat Take her to a 2nd opinion. That's not normal, no matter how hydrated she is.

@saintsoftness Please get her a friend - kitties without kitty friends develop depression and anxiety because kitties are naturally incredibly social.

Citizens of Sweden and Norway own the land of their countries, so they have free access to it all.
It's called Allemansrätten and "freedom" - something Americans don't have.

American summer: ownership. Nordic summer: access. Huge difference.

@mariana057 Apparently it's the flour, not the eggs, that are risks for salmonella - if you're outside the EU, be careful yeah.

@RealDianeYap You got emotionally traumatised when she said that, it hurt, so now you spread that hurt to others. The emotionally mature thing would be to teach this in a way that is educational, not hurtful.

My mom taught me this lesson when I was maybe seven. I was going on about something I found interesting and after a few minutes she cut in: "Did you notice how I haven't been responding at all?"
"Yeah?"
"That means I don't care. I don't care about this topic. I'm bored. I don't want to hear about this. When you talk to people, pay attention to whether or not they're responding to you. If they barely have anything to say, stop talking about whatever you're talking about."
It was a good lesson. One that many people need but never got. And it shows.

Actually, only people with ADHD truly understand what it's like to be AGGRESSIVELY uninterested in something like so uninterested you're angry

@Playerinthgame Some emperors from China sought immortality by taking elixirs made by monks and priests - they just ended up dying faster from poisoning - the elixirs contained heavy metals and other toxic substances, taken long term, it caused organ failure. Also made them crazy.

@SwiftieLee1 If you don't build a wall between feelings and situations at work as a doctor, you won't be around for long. It's the unfortunate truth.

@lizttlefrog The scene is pictured yep. I can read between 450-480 words a minute - but I've been reading for 25 years and I read A LOOOOOOOT, like as in I seek out novels 500-2000 pages cause 300 is too short.

As someone who comes from a family of teachers , 90% of you aren’t smart enough to homeschool your kids and are doing them a serious disservice
Connor Boyack 📚@cboyack
Homeschooling, in a nutshell, is refusing to outsource your child's formation to strangers with a curriculum you didn't choose.

When simulation becomes the norm, it weakens the human capacity for discernment. As a result, our social bonds close in upon themselves, forming self-referential circuits that no longer expose us to reality. We thus come to live within bubbles, impermeable to one another. Feeling threatened by anyone who is different, we grow unaccustomed to encounter and dialogue. In this way, polarization, conflict, fear and violence spread. What is at stake is not merely the risk of error, but a transformation in our very relationship with truth.
