You’re acting as though he’s 30-100 type player or great defender. He’s neither, and his best season by far, the one at San Diego that persuaded the Braves to pay him, is now seriously tainted by steroid suspicion. He’s on the downside of modest career and not worth the baggage.

What is the one American city that when you know you are headed there for three day business trip you are absolutely not excited?

@JoshWest247 Texas appears to be the only state that does this. There are several states that charge sales tax on the lease and it’s all paid up front. They include MN, OH and NY. Georgia charges a title tax of 7% which is effectively the same thing.

So I have never leased a vehicle in Texas before and I just found out that the state charges sales tax on the entire price of the vehicle, not just the portion you are leasing. At a tax rate of 6.25% this takes the $699/month Cybertruck payment from an anticipated $743/month up to $833/month. What’s even crazier is if you want to buy out the lease at the end of the term you will have to pay tax AGAIN on the buyout price even though you already paid taxes on it. How is this acceptable? @GregAbbott_TX

I’m very lucky that I’ve built a platform where I can write off my #Gators tix as a business expense. 99.99% of the fanbase cannot say this— and I’m legit pissed on their behalf. Because I was once in their shoes and unlike Scott Stricklin, I can actually empathize with others. Raising season ticket prices after going 4-8 for an undeniably less appealing home slate (no FSU, TEN, LSU, MIA, etc.) than the prior season is just shameless. I know Stricklin’s job is to bring in revenue. I get it. But maybe if he didn’t wait four years to fully embrace NIL and two years after it was obvious that Billy Napier had to be fired to actually pull the trigger, Florida would have a far more successful program right now— and thus, have its fans lining up to donate their money. There’s a way to make money without pissing off your fanbase, and Stricklin just has not done many things that make me believe this is of any interest to him. He’s free to prove me wrong at any point.

I’ve been a @GatorsFB @GatorsTix season ticket holder since the 2012 season. Before I moved 5 hours away I went to every home game, FL/GA, and at least 1 away game (usually at least 2). (Now not as many home games because of the move.) I knew the 2 month delay in season tickets was going to lead to them charging the hell out of us, but not to this extreme… How do you expect me to spend the money for such an increase in tickets to go along with gas, hotel, anything used to tailgate, flights, and more. For Texas this year I slept in my car because everything else was so expensive. Now the answer seems to be to go to less games. But idk how that’s good for the team. We haven't even touched on the significant cold coming next week after the winter storm. Both of our long range models are throwing around record lows Tuesday and Wednesday. These temps are unlikely, but they are possible.
