The controller also criticized their behavior and career status by saying they were "still flying an RJ," an insult directed at regional jet pilots. This type of disruption is a known problem in the aviation industry, specifically on the 121.5 MHz frequency, which is internationally designated for emergency use and monitored by all commercial aircraft. For years, an issue of unprofessional conduct has existed where pilots make animal noises on this frequency, despite strict rules against non-operational chatter. It’s still the same. Some think new hire pilots must go out & train on the new jet without passengers, but no…your first flight in the actual jet is just a normal airline flight, albeit under the supervision of a specially trained Line Check Pilot. Buckle up!

The Carney Liberals did not win a majority government through a general election or today's by-elections. Instead, it was won through backroom deals with politicians who betrayed the people who voted for them. While the Prime Minister spent the year on this cynical power grab, he has doubled the deficit, and given Canada the worst grocery prices and housing costs in the G7. Liberals expect Canadians to give up, get complacent and go away, so Carney can have total power without any accountability. That will not happen. Our country and its people are worth fighting for. We will continue to fight for people to afford homes, food and fuel. We will continue to fight for safety in our streets. We will continue to fight for our resource workers and soldiers. I will continue to lead that fight every day and in every way in Parliament, across the country and in the next election, when Canadians will reclaim the country we know and love.

The question for pilots thinking about upgrading to long-haul is whether or not you can actually sleep on a jet. Even with a bed, some can’t. If you can’t, you will be miserable.
