@Swordsmaster5 @Stealth40k I think another crack at the multiple armies style game Radiant Dawn did would be pretty cool, and I'd prefer it to another route split halfway through the game. The game is named differently in Japan, so I don't know if I wanna put too much stock in the english name tho...

@Stealth40k I'm honestly hoping they do a Radiant Dawn style game where you focus on one group and then another later down the line. Then eventually they all converge into one big group for the final act.
It is called Fourtunes Weave...which leads me to think the four stories might combine.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is an enormous game with four routes (not including the DLC) that can take 150-200+ hours to see and do everything.
Fortune's Weave focuses on four key characters. Will they have unique routes? Will they start the same, then split? So many questions.

@BackseatSakurai your choice of hyperbole in the original tweet is what's the problem, comes off a little gatekeepy. I think someone who likes Fire Emblem characters probably knows enough about video games to engage with someone about this topic.

@JStandsFor It has nothing to do with the series or the characters quality-wise - it's that the medium is vast and has tons of worthy choices, and FE already has a ton of representation.

If you can't name 70 characters that would be more interesting / deserving picks for Smash than the next 5 - 10 most deserving FE characters, you don't like video games or know enough about them to be worth talking to about them

@HeroOnTheWind I’m a Star Fox fan and downplaying Fire Emblem’s significance would be silly haha Peppy and Slippy are downright iconic, but the casts of Awakening and Three Houses carry a lot of staying power. I could see 5-10 fire emblem characters that deserve to still join Smash

@FinThunderBlue As a guy who loves both series, FE never had the same marketing push that SF ever had. in SSBM, none of the iconic elements from MotE are included like stages and trophies, and Nintendo Power didn't cover the newer FE games as much as SF64. The original SNES SF was a kind of big

ironic since Fox is famous as a smash character first. Starfox 64 overshadows its own franchise. FE is more popular + sells more, just doesnt typically attract the Nintendo scrimblo audience (which I am a part of I'm not talking shit) so it's not discussed as much in this context

@FinThunderBlue most Star Fox fans didn't start with the SNES game either, really doesn't matter where you start tbh. The original take is ignorant to a 36 year old franchise that has stayed alive and grown exponentially.

The only changes I'd want in Fire Emblem 4 remake are:
Nordion becomes a blue castle.
nihil cancels pavise.
an arena UI that acknowledges and integrates save scumming as a mechanic.
rank stats aren't hidden. I want a menu that shows my total turns+deaths+exp goal.
that's it.

@PalmTree_04 @TheTrueBrenden Exactly. I never suggested it would be the only way to play. But it would be a nice feature to have as an option considering GameShare does exactly this, connecting Switch 1 to Switch 2 with no extra software. Has nobody played DS on Wii U???

If Smash 64 released today I’m fairly certain the default 8 would be the same
I think changes they’d make are swapping Ness, Captain Falcon + Jigglypuff. Likely for Isabelle, Olimar + Charizard.
It’s really a testament to how Nintendo’s core IP are almost unchanged 30 years on

@telliusbian For a series that typically has pretty good to awesome box arts (Awakening’s absolutely nailed it), it is strange that 3H’s felt kind of undercooked. 3Hopes’s was a lot better I think.

@Greenthunder200 There are a few night time maps mixed in between there that use a different map theme, but you're right. I personally love this track though, and when they remixed it for the Premium Arrange I listened to it ALL the time.

my favorite thing about this song is you hear Precious Things for like 3 maps, and then for the REST OF THE GAME until Cog of Destiny you hear this one, and then it plays in a cutscene before you start Victory or Death
