My dad is driving to DC for the first time since my mom died in Jan and he hit a deer. He called @AAA_Travel for help and a tow & they asked to speak to my mother. He informed them she just died & they said he can’t use the policy then & left a 70 year old grieving man stranded

I worry that DEI has actually harmed people from some groups because now everyone is suspicious as to your qualifications.

DEI is wrapped up in that decline. When you focus on Identity vs merit and accomplishments, the outcomes will suffer. It also breeds division

@LLighter23 @julia_doubleday @AAA_Travel This is more of conjecture than an argument, but when you begin to overtly focus on companies that “go down the DEI road” you begin to subconsciously expose yourself to confirmation bias, when you see the companies go downhill when likely they’ve been going downhill for awhile

However, my observation is that when companies go down the DEI road....they never improve, ever. I have enjoyed our discussion. I like civil conversations.

In the past we've had great service from AAA, but the last few years, I've had friends wait for hours and they never came. This story is an example of that.

@DrSuneelDhand My mom was in such a bad rehab center after brain surgery that we had to hire a full time nurse to stay with her. They had like 24 patients for every nurse Orchard Park in Littleton Colorado in 2018.

Never leave your loved one alone in the hospital. Every hour you are allowed to be there, if you are able to, I highly recommend being there. Be perfectly cordial with staff. But watch over everything like a hawk. Trust me on this.
