If you’d like to use credentials as a stamp of authority on truth (a false signal, but that’s a different conversation) ….then as a doctor of pharmacy with a degree in chemistry and certified gym bro level 4, I’m here to say HGH is definitely a peptide that fits your definition of stimulating physiology, like to produce IGF-1. Is the distinction you’re looking for the ability to push to supraphysiologic levels?

Ok Gym Bros that suddenly have a PhD in physiology... HGH is not a peptide. I repeat HGH is not a peptide. Why? Here's the difference: Hormone = the product. Peptide = the instruction. HGH is the hormone. CJC-1295 and ipamorelin are peptides that tell your pituitary to release more of your own HGH. One replaces physiology. The other stimulates physiology. Huge difference.

Fair enough. I have a few bands like that too. In all honesty, Rancid except for a few songs never hit with me either even though saying this out loud is punk blasphemy. Strung Out is one of my favs, and anyone who loves them seems to also like No Use for a Name, but I couldn’t get into them either.

@LetsRetireAt50 I never got into zebra head Sometimes a band just doesn’t connect with me even though they are talented. I don’t have anything negative to say about them but they just didn’t do it for me

@AntiDoc It probably comes with the ebb and flow of the fruit itself. You go on a date kick, then they become too sweet, overly soft and chewy, so you ditch them for a year or two until they sound good again and then you’re back at it.

I remember when everyone on here was posting pics of dates, split open with a chunk of butter in the middle, and pretending that they eat that everyday. Haven’t seen dates on the TL in years.

And for someone with significant followers who may make some living from that too has to be near impossible. I’m a comment and an occasional post kinda guy, mostly reading and learning from X, so I can’t really imagine how mush thought it would take to appeal to everyone (if that’s even possible).

People on Twitter will do their best to take a single comment or a single tweet by someone and subscribe an entire ethos to them. That’s the low intelligence aspect that we see whether or not you’re a gym bro or a golfer or a sports guy or a finance guy. Picking and choosing and getting your panties in a twist over someone’s single tweet where they failed to labor over the lens through which every single reader would take it is the low real low IQ behavior.

@PGC1a_RB I’m also curious what qualifies as a “hobby bodybuilder”? I like it, want to use it, but don’t know if I qualify for the club. Is there a card or membership? … and banging post by the way.

When a bodybuilder (hobby or pro) hears growth hormone(GH), they typically think "muscle growth and better sleep -> recovery" I think, "induced insulin resistance (that is required and part of the above processes) and a better immune system" Frees fatty acids for energy metabolism (increasing insulin resistance) Spares glucose for more glucose/insulin dependent tissue Spares amino acids for muscle anabolism Increases innate and adaptive immune system while reducing autoimmune reactions Like in bodybuilders, androgens involute the thymus (decreasing immunity), therefore GH should be added, not just as a side chick of anabolism, but as a health ancillary And that's all before it's conversion to IGF-1

Yes and again I think he was coming from a matter of fact historical perspective and it’s not wrong, but I think there’s a growing trend (at least here on X so take that for the microcosm it is) of successful gym people brining their work and gym energy together. The jacked CEO, doc, lawyer, whatever has become a goal. I think the opposite has become truer where gym bros are learning more and now “more intelligent” than say golfers at what they need to do to be successful in the gym translating to work as well. I think it struck a nerve with those not seeing his previous posts and now coming across somewhat to the tune of hey gym bros are low intelligence but use my peptide code. Again, I’m not taking sides and it’s hard to read into posts, but I think again he could have worded it more thoughtfully.

It’s that season again: Want to up your immunity heading deep into fall 🍂 when you’re stuck indoors with plague people? 😷 Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA1) 💉 and glutathione 🛡️ are defensive weapons against all the nasty crap your coworkers are going to try to infect you with. 🤢 Science not Hype ⬇️🔬 Thymosin Alpha-1 (TA1) 🌟 This peptide, rooted in the thymus gland 🫀, is a key player in fine-tuning your immune system. It boosts cell-mediated immunity ⚔️, which is how your body deals with viruses 🦠 and other intracellular threats. TA1 helps balance lymphocytes ⚖️, calming excessive inflammation 🔥 while promoting immune tolerance. This is the conductor 🎶 keeping your body’s defense orchestra in sync. 🎻 It ramps up lymphocyte counts 📈, fights T-cell exhaustion (when your immune cells get worn out from long slogs) 😴, and sparks adaptive responses ⚡ to spot and destroy infected cells. It’s shown promise in tackling infections like hepatitis, sepsis, and even COVID-19 🦠, where it helps calm cytokine storms 🌪️ and supports immune cells like macrophages 🧹 and T-cells 🛡️. If you’re feeling sluggish 😩, TA1 could give it a boost 🚀 without throwing things out of balance. Glutathione 👑 is the King of antioxidants 🧬, and your body makes it naturally, though stress 😣, age 👴, or your crappy food choices 🍔 can deplete it. It keeps immune cells fit 💪 by maintaining a balanced level in lymphoid cells, optimizing their ability to fend off invaders 🦠. As a regulator of innate immunity 🛠️, glutathione curbs harmful inflammation 🔥 while steering it in a way that protects you: shielding cells from oxidative stressors 🛡️ that weaken your defenses. It supports lymphocyte proliferation 🌱 (helping white blood cells multiply to fight) and powers natural killer (NK) cells 🔫, which take out viruses 🦠 and tumors 🎯 early. Glutathione also stabilizes redox balance ⚖️, shifts cytokine profiles toward a Th1 response (great for antiviral immunity) 🛡️, and enhances T-lymphocyte activity 🚀. Plus, it neutralizes toxins ☠️ and oxidative junk 🗑️, helping your body clean them out. 🧼 Together, TA1 and glutathione are a stellar pair 💥: one fine-tunes your immune system 🎛️, the other clears out oxidative clutter 🧹. Man it’s Twitter. Lots of us post lots of content and if we get taken out of context or we don’t convey our message perfectly every time, I don’t think anybody should be getting their panties in a twist. We’re stronger than that. I’m not arguing with you, but more importantly,, we can look at someone’s entire post history or even if we haven’t done so or haven’t followed them that long, we have a good idea of who and what they are so for us to twist something someone says in a way that doesn’t offer them the benefit of the doubt I think is unfair unless they have a history of being assholes on the platform, and then it’s a completely different story.

It’s a hard thing for me to accept. I was raised, and believe most Americans were raised with the idea that you persevere in the face of adversity, and if you get hurt, you're supposed to shake it off and get back to the task at hand and win. It's repugnant to my thinking that there's a sport that not only condones, but celebrates professional athletes faking being hurt for a competitive advantage. It's not masculine or American-coded whatsoever. it’s not even feminine coded, it’s just gross. It’s bad sportsmanship at minimum. To my mind, it’s cheating: It’s introducing falsity into the game. Every time I turn on or end up seeing a soccer game being played, it's not very long before someone takes a minor spill or a minor contact with another player and pretends like they just got hit by a car. The World Cup has been on the screens of my gym for weeks now and I swear I’ve seen 50 men writhing in agony trying to get a penalty against another player and then they’re up and at it as soon as the ruling is made. Amazing how getting your competition penalized can cure your catastrophic injury in seconds.
