Most people on his side of the aisle do not pull the trigger because some last brake in their head holds. He had no brake left. The politicians and journalists and blue-checks and anon trolls who built that brake-killing rhetoric are not pulling triggers, but they surely are loading the gun and handing it to whoever picks it up. And unless something is done about this, there will be others.
