@TheSecretAcct @jmcl_2015 @rupertmiller @meaningfulmoney You still have to get advice from a FCA Pension Transfer Specialist for a transfer over £30k as a DB pension is safeguarded benefits. The regulatory landscape has softened slightly with the introduction of consumer duty and ‘now that all the cowboys have gone’. 1/2

I read something today (albeit on chatGPT) re SIPPs. I thought you could only take up to 25% of your SIPP out tax free capped at £268k but I’ve read that the percentage no longer applies and you can take up to £268k regardless of the size of your SIPP? Is that correct? 1/2

@TheSecretAcct @jmcl_2015 @rupertmiller @meaningfulmoney 2/2 But there is still a high bar to transfer and it has to be deemed in your best interest to transfer. If you had £31k the fees would outweigh the benefit. At 100k the fees may still outweigh the benefit … There is an argument that the £30k limit should be increased.

@TheSecretAcct What's the tax treatment within the company... Corporation tax on any growth and income from the investments?

If anyone is interested in what I’ve done with my tax free SIPP lump sum I’ve lent it to my FIC. Dividend income received by the FIC is tax free and then I can get the cash out tax free as a repayment against my loan Any comments on my investment choices for income are welcomed.

Anthony Taylor disasterclass in that first-half. Yates not even on a booking despite two really poor challenges. Unsure how that Elanga foul on Willock hasn't been reviewed... #NUFC

25% tax free withdrawal finalised. I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient process. Thank you @ii_couk In the process of setting up a limited company share dealing account with @ajbell to invest the cash in dividend paying investment trusts and the odd FTSE100 which should be live for me on Monday to invest before everyone gets back into the market after the Budget.

@carmichilli @MAPSinclair @MartinSLewis If she changes pensions to form part of ‘your’ estate - by doing this you would use up part of your NRB by passing funds to children. Which means your spouse wouldn’t inherit your 325k NRB.

Just to say the "inheritance pensions will be brought into inheritance tax from 2027" is a big change - i'm going to explain more about who this impacts after the budget speech is over.

@carmichilli @MartinSLewis We certainly need to understand the detail. You could argue that on first death any pension being passed to the children is being 'inherited', and would therefore be taxed, in the same way a gift to the children would be through the Will... Certainly plenty of work for advisers!

@MAPSinclair @MartinSLewis Sounds like pension death benefit nominations will need to be carefully reviewed to share between spouse and children on member’s death. Rather than just leaving fully to spouse on first death with plan to pass on to children on second death.

@Boxing_UK_ Should have been a knock down ✅ Taylor tried to hold and spoil a lot ✅ Taylor looked much better than the first fight and Cameron struggled to show dominance throughout the fight. Trilogy needs to happen ...

@BenCrellin @The_SAKAning If Havertz had got the red card then Bruno would not have hit out. The referee lost control of the match at that point. Both should have been red cards but in my opinion, if the first one is correctly given - the tension in the match doesn't develop in the same way!

Does anyone other than Arsenal fans think this goal should have been disallowed by VAR? Ball out of play? Not enough evidence to overturn the on-field decision. Foul on Gabriel? Doesn't meet the 'clear and obvious' threshold to overturn the on-field decision. Gordon offside? Not enough evidence to overturn the on-field decision
