@EddyEkofo Man, I really really want to make the thing, but this week I've got work, lots of work! Also, I'm skeptical about the moon conspiracy. We are talking about the cold war, after all. Marxists historically critique what they want to destroy. ;)

@BMcGrewvy @ibmmiller @TheMiddleborne You are comparing an indie film done by a live theater company to Hollywood (trying to get in on the Gibson and Kendricks faith flick gold rush, back when they thought there might be gold in them thar hills).

@ibmmiller @TheMiddleborne I can already tell it won't be as good as Amazing Grace, and that movie also wasn't great but had its moments. There's no Benedict Cumberbatch-level talent in sight.

@GeneralSw1ft @Andrewnsnyder @Brandywinebooks That's great. You can modify those to fit within the prompt: "The fact that our heart yearns for a thing Earth can't give is proof that our home is not here. You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have flesh." Not perfectly, but close.

@Andrewnsnyder @Brandywinebooks I don’t like the prompt. It would be better to have one good real quote or a few to capture what made his work great. The fact that our heart yearns for something Earth can't supply is proof that Heaven must be our home. You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Sometimes when people say, “preach the gospel” it’s because they don’t want to hear the law or feel its conviction.

What do we make of the president's announcement that he will release the files on UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomenon), formerly called UFOs? A question that is going to arise is whether Christians should believe in aliens. I have studied this subject for about 15 years because I saw it gaining traction and I believed I needed an answer. May Christians believe in aliens? In short, yes, but it would be very unwise to believe in them in the form in which they are being presented and manifested. First, there are reports that the “craft” can seemingly appear out of nowhere and then disappear again. Often these are glowing orbs, or metalic objects shaped like balls, eggs, tictacs, cigars, saucers, etc. They can “fly” faster than is physically possible according to known physics. They can stop on a dime. Without slowing down, they can make right angle turns. These things have been witnessed by many pilots. There is allegedly radar data to support these claims as well. The craft can move through physical media without disturbing it. Eg., they enter one side of a mountain and appear on the other side without making a hole. They can enter the water at high speed without splashing, etc. The craft can supposedly be “summoned” (a word used in witchcraft). That is, people who meditate on the sky using eastern meditation techniques and feelings of “deep gratitude” can call the craft to appear. A whole organization called “Skywatchers” was created to call down craft and collect data on them. Dr. Gary Nolan is a high level Stanford University geneticist who is deeply involved in this. These people used to be called “psychics,” but now are said to be utilizing “psionic” technology because “psychic” is thought to be a loaded word with occultic overtones (which it is). These psionic “assets” are said to be able to control the craft and even call on them to make a “donation,” which is not a “crash” but a landing which can be examined. People who get too close to the craft can have “spiritual experiences” and psychic communication with “aliens.” They also experience negative physical effects, including burns and conjunctivitis and even neurological damage. I am not saying that I positively believe all of this as reported. I am saying this is what is being said about aliens and UFOs. People who get into this subject claim that orbs appear in the hallways of their homes or on their front lawns. Those who experience these things almost always continue to experience them. They are followed by it. Second, many who see UAPs also have “abduction experiences.” There is a whole body of literature by abduction researchers who study abductees. Dr. John Mack was a high profile scholar at Harvard who studied this. There are tens of thousands of people saying things about their experiences and there is a common thread among them all. The common thread is that the “aliens” oppose Christ and Christianity and teach a different religion, one that is remarkably like ancient hermeticism or even gnosticism. Hermeticists sought to contact spirits through rituals to guide them to spiritual transformation to raise their consciousness, to achieve freedom and happiness spiritually, to become one with the world. There is no absolute morality in hermeticism or gnosticism (no law and therefore no gospel), only a personal journey to freedom through a kind of salvation through personal effort. These are the same ideas that you will find in Eastern religions and in New Age philosophy. People who have allegedly had these experiences claim that there are human-alien hybrids walking among us everywhere, that the aliens plan to enmesh themselves with the human population, but that only the abductees (who are very special) and the hybrids will be part of their future plans. Some Christians think that the alien hybrids are the same kind of offspring of spirits as the Nephilim, which some believe are described in Genesis 6. Many people are saying these things. Third, now, there are people saying that highly secretive elements of the US government are in contact with these “aliens.” That they are receiving technology from them, that they are receiving instruction from them, that they have made a deal with them. Again, I am not saying that I believe these things. I am saying that this is what the “alien” stuff is actually about, when you dig into it. I would ask you, Christian, to consider which is more likely. Have aliens have come from distant worlds to do these things (something that is impossible according to modern physics), or is this our ancient enemy who is wearing a new mask but is up to his same old tricks? Which is the most likely scenario? I'll leave that to you to decide.
Tom Hicks@TomHicks2LCF

Demons are liars and deceivers. Spiritual forces of darkness have incredible knowledge and powers over creation (see Job). They could form biologics and craft. Spirits manifest physically in the Bible. They appeared on chariots to Elijah. Their big goal with the “aliens” grift is to shift the origins story away from the failing evolution narrative to alien seeding and guided development to deceive people into not believing the one true God. Also to usher in a new technological paganism and worship of the gods (themselves) with gnostic and/or hermetic inflections.

You’re correct here in some ways, but you’re missing a few things: Yes, the early settlers were generally morally good people thanks to their culture and religion (not their race), and yes, you do need a morally good population to justly recognize the words on paper we call laws. But they were not without a constitution. They wrote the Mayflower compact to solve intense violent conflicts that arose before they even landed. Our American constitution was inspired by it. The early settlers were never without a constitutional document, which shaped and restrained the people. These puritans would’ve called themselves depraved. Their whole theology was centered on the principle of total depravity, needing Christ and the Spirit and the Law to restrain it. The law wasn’t just a product of the people, it was a recognition of transcendent truths that men should try to live up to, like the 10 Commandments. When the pilgrims first landed, they formed a communist system that almost killed them all by starvation. William Bradford himself wrote how that system turned this devoutly religious, moral, and ethnically homogeneous group into lazy people who couldn’t even feed themselves. It was only after he initiated ownership and free trade by law that things started to turn around. The main idea I’m pushing against here is the belief I see in the replies—that civilization and utopia just naturally secrete from white skin. Don’t kid yourself. It’s a prideful and delusional idea. We need a morally good population. That requires Christianity. We also need good laws. The problems won’t automatically fix themselves if we just get the ethnic mixture “right.”

The first English settlement in America began May 14th, 1607. The American revolution began on April 19th, 1775. America formally declared independence on August 2nd, 1776. (Yes, you read that right.) The Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3rd, 1783, ending the revolution. The current constitution was finally ratified on May 29th, 1790. 183 years. No 3rd world hell. No mass murder. No rains of frogs, cultists summoning Great Cthulhu from the sea, cats and dogs living together. None of that. Instead, those Constitution-less Americans forged a just and prosperous nation out of a wilderness inhabited by stone-age savages. Why? Because of who they were. The quality of a nation is the quality of its people. Full stop. If you have good people and bad laws, the people will fix the laws, and make them good. If you have bad people and good laws, the bad people will ignore the laws, and they might as well not exist. The tragedy of America is that our ancestors were so good, and surrounded by so much good, that they stopped believing that people could be bad. And they let the bad people in. It's easy to call this notion of good and bad people "simplistic", but on a basal level, we all know it's true. We all know there's a difference between Jeffery Dahmer and Jeff Cooper, which has nothing to do with laws. It's just that some of us are too cowardly to confront this fact. To declare all men depraved just as cowardly as declaring all men righteous. In reality, these two delusions are the same, because they both tell the same lie... that all men are morally equal, that they must be constrained, or liberated, to the same degree. Wrong. There are good men, and there are evil men, and they are different. And it is our inescapable responsibility to judge which is which, and to treat them accordingly. It is an act of supreme cowardice to shirk that responsibility.

@adamykim My sister-in-law shared a song that @KidRock sang recently at the @TPUSA alternative halftime show. The idea has been ringing in my head. There's a point of no return for a lot of relationships. Now is the time to invest in our elders, but also in our kids... and also our Lord.

@KayTee8317 💔 Don't look to men. Look to Jesus. I think that the online space is a great distraction (and yet here I am), but a good local church is the best place to find Christian community. We need to pray for and build our local churches.

One of the worst things about the hyper patriarchy accounts is that they put serious stumbling blocks out for women (like me) that have come out of feminism and truly do desire to be submissive and godly wives and mothers. I see their harsh and sometimes abusive content, 🧵
