Because Scripture teaches it and it also distinguishes justification from sanctification. Why doesn’t it say “Trinity”? Or “Women can’t be pastors?” It doesn’t, but it teaches it.

He’s talking about the theology that he knows Taylor subscribes to. Doctrine is not a single verse. The Roman doctrine behind this verse is false because it’s a works based justification.
