Today is Trans Day of Visibility. Trans, non-binary, and gender-nonconforming people have always been here — from the hijra of India to the Diné nádleehi to the leaders who built the modern LGBTQIA+ movement here in New York. Your existence is not up for debate. Your lives are not a political issue. We’re fighting for a city where every trans New Yorker can live openly, safely, and with joy.

Have you ever been to Washington D.C. or you have you ever perhaps looked at the White House? Are you familiar with the architecture? He designs following the same philosophy. Also, his view of modern architecture makes sense and no one is proposing that a ballroom attached to the White House not be architecturally consistent. Such a thing would be insane.

I went to a steakhouse in Miami, paid the bill, and they automatically added a 20% tip. When the waiter brought the check, he said: “That tip goes to the whole establishment—if you want to leave something for me, it’s extra.” I didn’t add anything else—20% is already too much. He gave me a dirty look, like I was robbing him. This tipping culture is out of control.

New Ballroom Addition to the Whitehouse is HORRIBLE! Shame on the architects, shame on the president, and shame on the people of the USA for letting their “house” get such a bad addition. “……But, it’s being privately funded” is the excuse most people give. Or, “I don’t care what they build”. Are these the same people that have pride in their country? I think they are. I am an US citizen, and I am calling this out as ………….lame as can be. Bishop Martin of Charlotte explaining that the communion rail has no place “in the liturgical life of the Novus Ordo” since the norm (in the US) is to receive Communion standing. Possibly His Excellency can cite the liturgical text or section of the GIRM stating such a ban? His Excellency also seems to be troubled by the actualization (in certain Charlotte parishes) of the mutual enrichment Pope Benedict often spoke of.
