The thing is, the ban doesn't affect adults. So why are adults getting so angry about children being banned from something that any half-decent adult knows is bad for them? Every single adult getting mad about this on Twitter is proof that they themselves aren't affected by it!

Under 18s can’t get phone contracts therefore these devices are all supplied by adults .. why don’t the parents implement the already built in child safety features such as blocking certain apps or restricting the time usage before handing these phones over . Proper lazy parenting

As a mum of a pre-teen, it’s the thing that keeps me up at night. I know many of my constituents feel the same. That’s why I called for a ban, and I am delighted we’re implementing one.
